Overview
- Primarily responsible for sourcing in the IT/technology category.
- Cover the full range of source to contract activities including category strategy creation, supply market analysis, drive sourcing execution, contract development/review, commercial and contract negotiation and vendor management, ensuring best value for the organisation and in compliance with procurement /legal /expenditure policies.
- Provides opportunity for direct interaction with senior stakeholders to drive category and sourcing strategy, as well as stakeholders from Function and Business Unit teams, Legal, Finance, Technology management and external vendors.
- Requires a good understanding of cost drivers and possess a keen sense for cost savings opportunities and will have the opportunity to be involved / drive procurement transformation and digitalization.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Function/Business unit stakeholders (all levels) to understand requirements and discuss category strategy that drives short to mid-term business objectives.
- Able to proactively management the relevant categories, understands supply market, develop category plan and engage with key stakeholders on sourcing needs across the group.
- Work with cross functional team to plan and drive sourcing process (RFx).
- Define, review and negotiate commercial terms, MSAs and enterprise agreements.
- Support development and review of SOWs
- Develop and negotiate renewals, contract changes/addendums and terminations.
- Manage and resolve escalated contract and commercial issues.
- Acts as a liaison between the company and vendors in major dispute resolution concerning vendor performance.
- Establish new vendor relationships while maintaining and managing the existing vendor relationships.
- Acts as point of contact for users, vendors and Procurement Operations for contract, procurement and invoicing related queries and issues.
- Consolidate demand, identify opportunities for cost savings and conduct sourcing.
- Ensure all contracts or procurement activity are executed in compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.
- Work with respective owners to review contract compliance, service performance and financials for material outsourcing engagements and any relevant due diligence process.
- Provide procurement audit support.
- Provide advice and support to Project/BAU team on any sourcing matters.
- Procurement process improvement review.
- Review and approve POs for compliance purposes.
- Be involved and contribute to procurement digitalization and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in technology, computer engineering, or procurement associated discipline.
- ~5 years’ experience in indirect sourcing, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Possess experience in category management, sourcing, contract review and negotiation, contract management and vendor management.
- Good exposure to IT categories (software, hardware, IT outsourced services, etc.)
- Worked with local and overseas vendors before.
- Equipped with strong knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, practices in procurement.
- Familiarity with procurement systems and procurement related digitalisation.
Salary
- ~$84,000 + competitive bonus
