Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop terminal procurement strategy for the assigned Area/s in collaboration with the Area/s and ONE procurement strategy through establishing long term partnership with key vendors at strategic locations for long term value creation, securing capacity and performance based collaboration
• Develop negotiation plans, strategies, securing competitive costs and executing contracts negotiations in collaboration with internal teams (e.g. legal, etc.)
• Support implementation of Global sustainability initiatives and drive with vendors
• Ensure accurate and transparent cost accounting and forecast
• Support cost savings and process improvement efforts
• Initiate feasibility studies for investments or long-term partnerships with operators and develop business plan and financial models for investment/divestment projects
• Review current portfolio of terminals to determine consolidation and/or divestment opportunities
• Drive the end-to-end deal execution process (financial modelling, risk assessments, valuation, due diligence, structuring and closing)
• Prepare expression of interest and bid documents where appropriate
• Act as PMO, lead and coordinate in discussions involving teams from regional organization, corporate shared services (Legal, Finance, Tax, etc.) and external consultants
• Draft and review documents such as joint venture agreements, shareholders agreements service agreements and others
• Perform due diligence to confirm validity of information obtained from potential partners or acquisition targets
• Participate in ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Maritime Studies, Logistics or relevant disciplines
• 4 to 6 years of experience in the Investments Analysis, Financial Statements, Shipping/Logistics industry or related working experiences in costs side of business in Container Shipping
• Basic knowledge of financial statement analysis, structure of contracts
• Basic experience in finance modelling with strong analytical skills
• Experience in shipping or logistics Business Process Management and/or IT-related departments would be preferred
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), proactive in cross-team collaboration
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis; tech-savvy with an open mind to learn & apply new technologies
• Self-driven, proactive in improving systems and costs control measures

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in cloud network products, ICT products, etc., and a background in customer service support will be added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Asset Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all data center assets, including servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and peripheral devices.
   Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to decommissioning, ensuring all assets are recorded in asset management tools.
   Perform regular audits of assets and ensure alignment with data center operational requirements and security policies.
   
2. Inventory Control:Manage inventory levels to support current and future data center hardware needs, reducing downtime risk due to hardware shortages.
   Conduct periodic physical inventory counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and update asset records accordingly.
   Forecast hardware needs based on data center growth projections and ensure appropriate inventory stock levels.
   
3. Vendor and Procurement Management:Coordinate with vendors for asset procurement, delivery schedules, and service agreements.
   Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and track contract compliance for hardware-related services.
   Monitor warranty periods, maintenance agreements, and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes, ensuring assets remain under coverage where applicable.
   
4. Asset Optimization & Cost Control:Identify opportunities for optimizing hardware usage and reallocating resources to maximize data center efficiency.
   Implement asset tracking systems to reduce asset loss, improve utilization, and manage inventory costs effectively.
   Analyze and report on cost trends, working with procurement to recommend cost-saving strategies and identify preferred vendors.
   
5. Documentation & Reporting:Ensure comprehensive documentation of asset management processes, including policies, SOPs, and asset movement protocols.
   Generate regular reports detailing asset status, inventory metrics, vendor performance, and budget adherence.
   Develop and present monthly or quarterly reports on asset lifecycle status, replacement schedules, and inventory forecasts.
   
6. Compliance and Security:Maintain asset and inventory management in accordance with data center policies, regulatory standards, and security requirements.
   Oversee access controls related to high-value inventory, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to asset storage areas.
   Support internal and external audits by providing detailed asset records and demonstrating compliance with inventory policies.
   

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or data center operations.
• Certifications: IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) certifications (preferred).
