POSITION OVERVIEW : Operations Compliance Lead
POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :
Years of Experience
At least 10-12 years’ experience in IT operations in a data warehouse / analytics environment with knowledge on compliance and/or has experience completing one audit cycle.
Position Summary / Project Description
Operations Compliance Lead is to ensure the IT operations planning and execution meets the service levels agreements and audit compliance requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
He will understand the operational process from systems administrations to application management and support. He will plan and provide guidance on ensuring that all project, migrations, and support processes are align and compliance with organizations operation and security policy.
He focuses on setting goals and priorities and on mentoring and coordination as well as providing technical leadership while aligning with organizations policy.
He will represent the operation team in the management for any audit, compliance or governance forum.
He possesses strong leadership and communication abilities and is able to set realistic goals and implement appropriate plans to guide the team toward achieving those goals. He is able to address multi-faceted issues effectively and in a collaborative manner including across departments.
Govern IT processes and policies
Establish goals and priorities, design, planning, day-to-day operation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of systems.
Align system administration with overall strategic IT service direction and business needs.
Assist with the development of business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives.
Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issue.
Develop policies, procedures, and controls to ensure system security and compliance.
Lead the team during audit and/or compliance investigation to ensure all processes are able to meet company policies and governance.
Be aware of any new policy, governance or guidance required from the organization or government.
Optimise Systems Performance and Continuous Improvement
Recommend process, product or service improvements, resource optimisation and cost savings initiatives.
Recommend new technologies, methodologies, systems or opportunities for cost savings, security and service quality improvement
Optimise / Automate processes to achieve higher efficiency and more sustainable operations
Evaluate current processes and update for any changes or new direction from the organization
Manage Teams
Oversee team management including budgets, forecasting, work allocations and staffing
Develop staff through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions
Define common goals, direction and accountability among staff
Drive effective performance management practices within department in accordance with company policies and procedures
Requirements / Qualifications
-Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
-Minimum 10-12 year working experience in system operations compliance and management areas.
-At least has experience being audited or familiar with any standards (e.g. ISO, ITSM)
-Highly-motivated self-starter who will undertake all activities to the highest professional standards
-Must be cloud certified
-Good in-depth understanding of data warehouse concepts, data profiling, data verification and advanced analytics techniques
-Experience in managing a team in project implementation or support is a must
-Certification in IT operation management is preferred
-Possess prior hands-on experience with technologies such as Informatica, .NET & MS-SQL database, Oracle, BI tool (OBIEE or Tableau) & any messaging technologies
-Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different groups of stakeholders
-Exposure to hospital information / clinical systems is an added advantage.
