Responsibilities

• Review and approve onboarding of high-risk customers.
• Provide AML/KYC advisory on name screening, KYC documentation, and onboarding related issues/red flags escalated by front line.
• Obtain approval from the Bank’s senior management to establish or continue business relations with the high risk rated customer.
• Overseeing the carrying out of ongoing monitoring of account relationships.
• Maintain and update local internal blacklist in the AML System, overseeing that the Bank has adequate arrangements to perform AML screening of its customer database.

YOUR ROLE

ST is hiring a Global Trade Compliance Leader for the Asia Region. This role, reporting to the GVP Head of Corporate Trade Compliance, will be responsible for managing and deploying ST Trade Compliance programs and providing strategic compliance leadership to the Region.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Driving the trade compliance governance strategy and execution in the Asia region.
• Managing the regional trade compliance programs, procedures, systems, risk assessments, audit plans and relationship with the authorities to ensure compliance with applicable Strategic goods/dual use control regulations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement branch-wide framework to manage AML/CFT risks.
• Acting as SME on advising the bank on all applicable sanction requirements (MAS, UN, OFAC, EU, UK HM).
• Develop and maintain oversight of implementation and administration of this Anti Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Policy and Procedures (“AMLPP”).
• Promoting compliance with MAS Notice 626 and the Guidelines to MAS Notice 626, as well as MAS Regulations issued under section 27A of the MAS Act and taking overall charge of all AML/CFT matters within the organisation.

Overview

The Director, Program Management and Regional Office, is a core member of the Innovative Medicine APAC Health Care Compliance (HCC) Regional Leadership team and the Innovative Medicine Global HCC Program Management, reporting directly to the APAC Regional Sector Lead. The Director will be responsible for strategic oversight, driving operational excellence, and enhancements of a compliance framework and program across the Innovative Medicine HCC organization for APAC.
