Position Summary:

The Quality Control Engineer is an experienced engineer with a good understanding of construction principles, standards and processes. The QC Engineer is responsible to identify the measures and controls required to give a reasonably practical assurance that the quality of the works will be achieved.

The QC Engineer will have a detailed understanding of the project specifications and legal/contract/company quality requirements.

This QC Engineer will be involved in reviewing method statements and preparing inspection and test plans. They will also train and advise project staff on quality matters, monitor the progress of submissions, inspections and tests. They will coordinate the management of defects and nonconformances.

What’s the role?

• Design and implement automation testing framework and drive that strategy to execution to ensure operational efficiencies across the product team.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to lead quality and process optimization efforts across our supplier network, with a strong focus on mechanical processes (e.g., metal stamping, forging, brazing, die casting, CNC machining, and milling). The successful candidate will work within the electronics and computing sectors, particularly focusing on thermal cooling solutions, ensuring that our suppliers meet rigorous quality standards and process reliability. You will collaborate closely with suppliers to enhance product quality, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement systems to monitor and assess supplier quality. Ensure that materials and components, particularly those related to mechanical processes (e.g., metalworking, tooling, fixture and jig design), comply with specified standards. Address and resolve any non-conformance issues.

Requirements:

• Reviews design drawings, do necessary best fit calculations, prepare professional dimensional control reports using AutoCAD and get approval by the clients and/or certifying authority.
• Maintains dimensional survey equipment and keep proper documentation of dimensional control reports to meet project requirements and QA/QC audit standards.
• Gives guidance and advice to sub-contractors on how they can increase their productivity.

Electrical

• Coordinates in-coming coating materials (e.g. paints, thinners, abrasives etc) conditions, data sheet and batch certificates in accordance with project.
• Inspects correct type of blasting equipment and tools to be used to meet the paint quality according to the paint specification.
• Inspects pre-cleaning or solvent cleaning of surface, metal surface imperfection/defects, surface profile of blast cleaned surface using right inspection tools.
• Assesses surface cleanliness soluble salt contamination on blast-cleaned surface and related test such as pull-off test & reports.
• Able to handle painting inspections in blasting and painting inspection of tank coatings, ship hull painting, and structural items
• Coordinates Request for inspection (RFI) to third party and client paint inspectors on hold point and witness point as per project inspection test plan (ITP).
• ·Able to send enquiries to Paint manufacturers for Painting Specification in accordance with project Requirements and Secure Quality document for painting; Inspection & Test plan, blasting and coating procedure.
• Ensures calibration certificates of painting instruments are valid & available for reference
• Supervises the workplace and workers safety.
• Ensures coating is practical and in accordance with the specified requirements by preparing or reviewing drawings, specification, job instruction and material selection notes etc.
• Reviews Inspection Test Plan (ITP) as per project specification and procedures
