We're seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for our software products. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools

• Design and implement test automation frameworks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements

• Analyse test results and report defects

• Continuously improve automation processes and methodologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• 3+ years of experience in software QA automation

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript)

• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium)

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with API testing and performance testing

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Familiarity with OutSystems environment and setup

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Developing test strategies, test plans and test cases to ensure quality code that meets cross-functional requirements (including performance, usability, security etc.)
• Challenge business requirements to deeper empathise with end-users
• Championing and guiding others to adopt Agile and other best practices (e.g. Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), etc.) to create high-quality meaningful solutions
• Perform automated and manual testing to inspire confidence, to improve and refactor the existing automation framework and tests and lastly, to provide quality assurance on the code and product
• Improve and refactor the existing automation framework and test

The Qualifications To Be a Maverick

1. Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and testing various applications for production
• Worked in high performance and cross-functional Agile software engineering teams that used practices like Kanban/Scrum/Lean/XP, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), etc.
• Experience in driving QA principles and practices in Agile teams
• Iteratively creating and managing automated functional tests in collaboration with the development teams
• Experience in performing both manual and automated tests
• Experience in writing, executing and validating tests across the test spectrum which includes, but is not limited to security testing, load testing, stress testing, performance testing, etc.
• Know and have practised key QA concepts such as Test Pyramid, Page Object Model (POM), etc.
• In-depth knowledge of fundamental code principles like Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Page Object Model (POM)
• Experience in using clean code practices to write readable, maintainable code to test applications
• Experience in using either Cypress or Playwright

2. Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with writing automated tests in a behaviour-driven manner
• Experience with testing different applications (e.g. Web, Mobile, Cloud, etc.)
• Experience with various techstacks (e.g. Typescript, Javascript, etc.)
• Experience with testing applications for various industries
• Experience in other areas of the SDLC (e.g. Development, Deployment, Requirement Gathering, etc.)
• Experience with setting up DevOps and other automation practices

Quality Technician - West

Responsibilities

• Review each circuit of the schematic to ensure proper wiring, confirming correct separation of voltages, communication, main power, and any accessory outlets.
• Verify that all parts match the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Perform point-to-point continuity tests to ensure correct wiring.
• Check the correct wire gauge and colour.
• Inspect all labels, sit-track tags, for proper placement, accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Apply power to the panel to ensure all electrical components function correctly.
• Verify the paint colour and ensure no damage to the paint job.
• Document any discrepancies on the corrective action sheet and inform the appropriate team leader for necessary corrections.
• After repairs, recheck and verify that corrections are complete, initial the "checked by" box on the corrective action sheet.
• Sign off in the "QC checked by" box for the quality inspector on the QA sheet.
• Release the enclosure for dock audit and prepare it for shipment to the customer.

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec and above or its equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics preferred
• Knowledge of controls design preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Quality Assurance objectives by conducting regular call reviews and highlight any potential risk to management.
• Review closed sales calls per day for General Insurance Team.
• Backup for Auto Insurance for Call Review purposes.
• Promptly report any calls detected with potential quality issues (e.g. misrepresentation, fraudulent) to Management.
• Prepare, track and send Quality Assurance related reports to UOB management and team. (NMD, Service Quality Monthly, Penalty Points Table)
• Keep track on all the status of Quality Assurance Cases from beginning to end process and provide update to management on a timely manner.
• Weekly meeting with management to discuss on discrepancies and solutions for further improvements.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Preferably have quality assurance experience and insurance products knowledge.
• Candidate must be able to evaluate and provide feedback calls
• Meticulous and responsible team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to multi-task.
• Fast Learner and willing to learn on multiple Insurance Products.
