Key Responsibilities:

• Directly involved in advisory support to the team in daily AML tasks such as onboarding assessment, account reviews, client update / change in circumstances, name screening and transaction monitoring, review and approval of matters escalated to Compliance such as payments.
• Ongoing management of the Second Line of Defence AML compliance program in accordance with Group directives, policies and applicable local regulatory requirements; conduct AML key controls as part of the compliance monitoring program.
• Conduct Quality Assurance checks on sampled Onboarding and Periodic Reviews.
• Conduct investigation of suspicious transactions and filing of suspicious transaction reports where required.
• Perform gap analysis on new/change in AML regulations to ensure that AML compliance is aligned with regulatory standards; identify areas for improvements and involve stakeholders for resolution.
• Maintain and update AML-related procedures and working instructions.
• Conduct periodic awareness briefing and staff trainings on regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures pertaining to AML. Promote and manage compliance risk culture and local practice of regulatory compliance and ethical standards.
• Periodic and ad-hoc regulatory reporting or AML survey.
• Support Team in providing AML / compliance advisory support to colleagues, senior management and key stakeholders in AML and Financial Crime matters.
• Support Team in initiatives and projects, audits, reviews and investigations relating to AML and Financial Crime Compliance, and any other duties assigned by Team Head.
• Build relationships and credibility with stakeholders.
• Support Team Head in providing supervisory and guidance to the junior AML officers.
• Ensure that the AML team members are well equipped with the required knowledge and updated on the latest regulatory requirements.
• Participate and support global or regional compliance projects related to AML Compliance function.

Experience and qualifications:

• Degree holder with minimum 8 years of work experience, preferably in Private banking with experience in either AML compliance/KYC/Onboarding/KYC Quality Assurance.
• Good knowledge of MAS Notice 626 requirements and private banking industry practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive legal and compliance policies and procedures across the organization.

• Represent the company to external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Lead KYC, CDD, and AML related work, ensuring accurate KYC/CDD records.

• Support the effectiveness of the firm's compliance monitoring program - i.e., reviewing of marketing materials, monitoring of clients correspondence, provide oversight into staff's trading activities, conducting investment compliance monitoring to ensure the firm's business is compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct compliance and regulatory training to internal staff.
• Contribute to the investment portfolio risk analysis and monitoring.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or higher in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in experience in regulatory compliance and AML/CFT within financial institutions,
• Strong knowledge of MAS regulations and the Securities and Futures Act.
• Interest in the crypto industry and a willingness to stay informed about industry trends and developments.
• Proven experience in managing compliance within a complex organizational structure.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide leadership across multiple levels of an organization.
• Multi-lingual skills (English and Mandarin) are a plus, given the need to work across different cultures and geographies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional certifications in compliance or AML/CFT are an advantage (e.g., ICA, ACAMS).

Work with Compliance colleagues in implementing, administering, and maintaining the compliance program;
Ensuring management and employees are in compliance with the applicable regulations and that policies and

procedures are being followed.

Manage, mentor and develop compliance staff in Singapore.

Manage relationships with regulators, clients and external adviserson compliance issues impacting the business.
Provide advice to employees on compliance and/or regulatory matters.

Develop new or updated policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to business unit.

Manage compliance monitoring activities and risk and compliance reviews of activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Oversight and assisting compliance teams;
Manage regulatory filings and responses to regulatory examinations on behalf of relevant business units.

Requirements:

5 years minimum of people management experience, experience in leading a mid-large size compliance team and experience in working in a multinational company

Ability to interpret the regulatory requirements, guidance, and developments and clearly communicate implications to a range of audiences

Master's degree in Law, or other relevant fields

Hands on experience in implementing compliance programs to address key regulatory risks

Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting

Self motivated, dependable, adaptable

Able to work both independently and within a team environment
