The Regional Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding market presence within the assigned region. This role involves developing strategic business plans, identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and leading sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the flavor industry, strong sales acumen, and exceptional relationship-building skills.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and expand market presence.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential markets, partnerships, and clients.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making and identify trends and opportunities.
Sales Leadership:
- Lead and manage the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their needs and providing solutions to their challenges.
- Develop and implement account management plans to maximize business opportunities and deepen customer relationships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, R&D, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for business development and sales initiatives.
- Provide market feedback and insights to help shape product development and marketing strategies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt business development and sales strategies accordingly.
- Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, sales performance, and market conditions to senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools and systems to track sales activities and customer interactions.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in business development and sales within the flavor or food ingredients industry.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business development and sales plans.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
- Knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the flavor industry.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
