Key Responsibilities

• Develops and applies quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements. Develops and conducts related tests.

Senior Sales Engineer will support the growth of the business by providing technical sales support for customers and the regional sales force, including pre and post client interaction throughout the sales process.

Job Description

• Support the Regional Sales Manager/Sales Manager in developing and achieving sales plan and maximise sales success.
• Develop high level customer relationships for mutual benefit.
• Maintain and report monthly forecasts on sales orders-in and backlog.
• Manage collections, report on AR, and act as the escalation point for chasing significantly aging debt.
• Participate in sales and operational planning activities to ensure market winning lead times and maximize product availability.
• Ensure compliance with QMS policy and process to ensure the sales process can be audited and remains compliant.
• Preparation of quotations and supportive information to customer enquiries.
• Contract review and processing of orders with supportive information and relevant parties.
• Management of product pricing evaluation.
• Assist with pricing of products and regional variation to maximize sales potential.
• Maintain an overview of clients in the region, their contracts and operations.
• Maintain an overview of competitors, their activities, success and failures, feedback to management.
• Monthly report to the Management, including quote activity, new orders, new clients, customer feedback and business outlook.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of Sales experience in Oil and Gas industries
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal communications, and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain focus and business acumen under sometimes stressful sales/business negotiations.
• A team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems.
• Firm and diplomatic when negotiating.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete definition and design of complex components, modules and sub systems. Contribute to the system engineering specification both within the field of one's expertise and broadening into other disciplines. Ensure designs meet market requirement specifications (MRS). Coordinate with project marketing and management to understand sub system requirements. Be able to chair architecture brainstorming meetings and drive the systems process to down select to a final architecture of a subsystem.
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis of sub systems using vast knowledge of design concepts and functional requirements pertaining to field of technical expertise and broadening into other disciplines. Assist in creating concepts for architectural design approaches. Evaluate architectures to provide recommendation for best system solution approach.
• Build and qualify prototypes of new designs, or procure entire subsystems from outsourced suppliers and test for compliance with detailed specifications
• Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of difficult engineering problems in field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability.
• Support System Integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs.
• Perform and coordinate tests as per internal as well as industry-accepted reliability specifications. Make suitable design or operational changes as required.
• Support system engineering projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design, and understand the underlying system implications.
• Provide remote and onsite support to field support personnel as required.

Requirements

• PhD/ Master/ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with modeling dynamic systems involving, fluid flow, thermal, motion systems/position controls, RF/Electrical systems
• Experience in designing feedback control systems
• Understanding of adaptive control, signal processing, optimization techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with statistical methods/AI/ML desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders

Work Location

· Handle sales activities/quotations for assigned account.

· Handle and grow existing customers/ new development customers (Machining and Contract Manufacturing) with strategic growth of 15%-20%.

· Manage customer account status & credit control for assigned account.

· Achieve assigned sales target and consistently follow up for purchase order after quotation is submitted to customer.

· Work with cross functional departments for customer request /new RFQ as per SOP0038.

· Review order fulfilment as per SOP0039 and back-up support for sales coordinator in order fulfilment that enable smooth daily operations.

· Maintain & service customers satisfaction as per SOP0040.

· Review consolidation of pricing & forecasting and work with customers in fulfilling the forecast.

· Participate in weekly / bi-weekly / monthly sales call with customers with the aim to ensure business needs are on schedule and to arrest any potential / new issues by customers relating to sales and revenue.

· Understand and work with multi-level bill of materials (BOM).

· Collaborating with the design, production, supply chain, engineering or R & D departments of the company to determine how products and services could be made or modified to suit the needs of the customer.

· Selling on technologically and scientifically company core capabilities to covert to product sales.

· Maintain and ensure Sales and Marketing annual operating budget did not exceed per HOD prevailing directive.

· Managing close relationship with various departments taking deliverables as top priority.

Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
