About the role:
- Good knowledge of general accounting principles (local legal requirements & IFRS guidelines)
- Analyze financial results, and monitor the budgeting and forecasting control cycle.
- Identify potential risk areas, and support implement control and mitigating activities.
- Accurately and independently applies this knowledge to his/her activities (incoming/outgoing invoices/Cashflow forecast & requirements)
- Responsible for the correct & timely processing of invoices, banking, petty cash & staff expenses.
- Responsible for booking and reconcile of wage reports in the accounting.
- Keeps an eye on deadlines both from internal and external deadlines.
- Responsible for weekly reports (cash report) and monthly accounting & recharged schedules.
- Follow up on internal documentation and archives up to date.
- Assist on site-related reports (upon request of the site)
- Draws up the monthly, and quarterly for reporting and declaration.
- Aware of basic principles of Singapore Tax (GST, Corporate Tax & Withholding Tax)
- Prepares audit controls and inspections (delivery of necessary documents, etc.) in collaboration with the Senior Accountant and/or manager.
- Ability to solve basic finance and banking queries and deliver the necessary documents.
- In consultation with senior/manager to deliver statistics/survey/tender pre-qualify
About you:
- Min. Diploma in Accounting, AAT, ACCA or equivalent
- Preferable 2 years relevant working experience.
- Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Good interpersonal, coordination & communication skills.
- Demonstrated good initiative.
- An ability to prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
- A keen eye for detail whilst being able to work efficiently.
- Strong double entry knowledge and good understanding of accounting processes
- Preferable Knowledge of Withholding tax and GST legislation (Marine industry and international services)
- Experience with Microsoft D365 would be an added advantage.
- Work well independently and as part of the team

- Working Hours: 830am to 6pm, 5 days a week
