Role and Responsibilities

Online Marketing Intern

This role manages campaigns and drives activities leading to online sales growth. Key Projects include but not limited to: Bank promotion, Rewards program, Rating & Reviews, etc.

• Support the Channel Marketing lead on day to day activities that is geared towards driving Singapore direct-to-Consumer (Samsung.com store) to grow and drive sales through definition of strategic initiatives
• Assist towards campaign execution, tracking as well as report generation
• Ownership of a project that is pivotal towards driving Samsung.com sales in a sales and marketing capacity
• Translating global playbook into local, timely execution
• Manage internal communications with both internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

Pursuing undergraduate degree with academic module or work exposure related to:

We are looking for a Senior Manager/Manager to drive the marketing and communications initiatives for the Biz Tech Group at IMDA. The Biz Tech group focuses on driving industry adoption of frontier technologies such as responsible AI, 5G/6G, and Large Language Models, and works within our research and development ecosystem to drive upstream research and translation at scale that will uplift Singapore’s Digital Economy.

The successful candidate will design the appropriate voice to deliver our value to communities of interest. You will capture the essence of our initiatives, translate

technical jargons to ensure accessibility and articulate impact for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also develop content strategy and engaging content that educates and inspires target audiences across various channels to generate interest and engagement. Your creativity of how emerging technologies can be used will catalyse innovative collaboration among businesses and research communities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimise marketing and communications strategy, including demand generation campaigns, branding and communications for emerging technologies and initiatives.
• Craft compelling narratives and translate into effective marketing campaigns and engagements in a planned manner.
• Work with leadership, engineering and marketing teams to align business unit priorities and ensure efforts are communicated effectively to communities that matters, including but not limited to key opinion leaders spread across private and government institutes.
• Leverage the full marketing mix of digital and communication tools to create targeted campaigns for each technology initiative, maximising impact while solidifying our brand value and preference.  
• Understand technical nuances and create, source, write, edit, and proofread diverse content such as technical blogs, digital content, thought leaders articles, case studies.
• Cultivate and maintain brand and reputation as a thought leader and be a collaborative partner to orchestrate marketing activities across government, academia and industry. Analyze data, feedback, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and inform future strategies.

Requirements:

• Holds at least Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing and communications, or related field, with experience in digital innovation or emerging technologies
• At least 8 years of experience in engaging communities in the technology scene, with a passion for innovation and knowledge of tech scene.
• A creative mindset to develop innovative and engaging strategies for community engagement, considering different communication channels and their specific requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to convey the value proposition and key messages to various channels and adapt messaging to resonate with different audience segments

[What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities:

1.           HR Data Alchemy (Turning Numbers into Gold):

•            Collect, analyse, and interpret HR data and metrics with the finesse of a tech wizard.

•            Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports that are not just insightful but a work of data art.

2.           Strategic Workforce Wizardry:

•            Collaborate with HR business partners to forecast talent needs and craft workforce plans that are as agile as the tech world.

•            Conduct scenario analysis and make recommendations that feel like predicting the next tech unicorn.

3.           Talent Management Mastermind:

•            Assist in talent acquisition efforts by providing insights on recruitment metrics and trends with a tech-savvy twist.

•            Support the design and implementation of talent development and retention strategies that rival the tech giants.

4.           HR Strategy Superhero (with a Data Cape):

•            Partner with HR business partners to align analytics efforts with the HR and organisational strategy while pioneering tech-driven HR innovations.

•            Provide data-driven recommendations that not only address HR challenges but also propel us into the digital future.

5.           Compliance and Reporting (Without Tech Jargon):

•            Ensure HR data compliance with relevant regulations and policies, while making it as user-friendly as a tech gadget.

•            Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports that not only inform but also inspire.

6.           Tech-Savvy Stakeholder Collaboration:

•            Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to enhance HR analytics capabilities while staying ahead of tech trends.

•            Collaborate with IT to improve HR data systems and tools with the tech know-how of a Silicon Valley guru.

[What we are looking for]

•            Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. 

•            Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR analytics, data analysis, or related roles, with a tech-driven passion.

•            Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools and analytics software (SQL, Tableau, Python etc.) and the ability to make data dance like a tech prodigy.

•            Experience working with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and proficiency in HR databases and software with a tech-savvy edge.

•            Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a way that resonates with tech enthusiasts.

•            Strong business acumen and the ability to connect HR analytics to strategic tech-driven business objectives.

•            Knowledge of HR best practices is a plus, but a tech-driven mindset is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with business/industry comms and internal stakeholders to understand their priorities and effectively design integrated campaigns that drive results
• Support Deputy Director marcoms to develop and execute integrated campaigns across multiple channels to meet programme targets and deliverables. (Includes print, digital, social, activations, partnerships and sponsorships)
• Work closely within Comms & Marketing Division  to harmonise plans and ensure coherence in IMDA’s narratives and campaign messaging with intended audiences
• Use analytics and social listening tools to measure effectiveness of campaigns, inform policies and initiatives, as well as nudge behavioural change
• Provide strategic counsel to managers and below to ensure that campaigns are aligned to IMDA’s strategic narrative
• Management of panels of vendors and service providers from the WOG approved contract framework

Requirements

• 10 to 12 years of working experience in marketing, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Background in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business or related fields
• Adept at collaborating and managing multiple stakeholders internally and externally, including media, creative and digital agencies.
• Strong understanding of martech tech stacks and experienced in digital-led marcoms campaigns. Familiarity with web analytics tools for data-driven measurement of campaigns.
• Purpose-led and passionate to pursue best-in-class campaigns and work that drive results.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills with a strong usage of Microsoft excel for data analysis
• Experience in infocomm media related fields and media is advantageous, but not a pre-requisite

• Ability to understand business needs and challenges and can perform data-driven analysis and decision making especially for Digital Marketing
• Strong vendor management skills
• Strong aesthetic sense and sharp writing skills for marketing materials
• Experience working with agencies and stakeholders to curate stories and angle
• Dedicated team player with excellent communications and interpersonal skills to engage a wide variety of stakeholders
• Able to multitask and work with tight timelines
• Experience in Government and/or B2B marketing preferred
