We are seeking a P&C Actuarial Analyst with a strong background in IFRS17 implementation to join our client, a leading reinsurance organisation. This role will be pivotal in supporting their IFRS17 transition across eight geographical locations - ensuring compliance, and providing strategic actuarial insights. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing both internal and external stakeholders, balancing varying priorities, and navigating the complexities of multi-country financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- IFRS17 Implementation & Support: Supporting the IFRS17 transition for multiple branches, ensuring alignment with local standards and providing tailored support to each region.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Actuarial, and Compliance) and external auditors, delivering clear, actionable insights and solutions. Ability to navigate competing priorities and drive consensus is essential.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Supporting quarterly and annual IFRS17 reporting processes, review actuarial disclosures, and provide recommendations to senior management on reserve-related matters.
- Training & Development: Supporting IFRS17 training for actuarial and financial teams across regions to strengthen organizational knowledge and facilitate smooth adoption.
- Process Optimization: Partner with the centralized IFRS17 P&C actuarial team to enhance processes, systems, and governance frameworks related to IFRS17.
- Regulatory Compliance: Interface with local regulatory bodies and ensure that all actuarial processes meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in Property & Casualty insurance/reinsurance, with proven experience in IFRS17 implementation.
- Technical Expertise: Strong command of actuarial, accounting, and data analysis tools (Excel, R, etc.). Familiarity with IFRS17 standards and their application in diverse markets is critical.
- Educational Background: University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex actuarial and financial concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues efficiently, balancing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality solutions within tight timelines.
- Leadership: Proactive and collaborative, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects and work with remote teams across multiple countries.
