What does the management trainee do?

You are actively supporting Sika on our sustainability net Zero journey, driving decarbonation and contributing making our world a better place. Sustainability has many aspects and involves all disciplines and as a management trainee you are going to rotate to Research & Development, Marketing and Procurement to learn all company functions, policies, and staff duties. You contribute to strategic planning and help evaluate levers and enable their implementation.

You will gain exposure and experience in:

• Participating in meetings, workshops, trainings, and be embedded in our global sustainability community.
• Observing and learning from experienced staff members and participate in coaching session.
• Support implementation of global sustainability initiatives on regional or local level in Asia Pacific.
• Participate in company’s strategic planning.
• Create and give presentations to get the buy-in from local, regional, or corporate management to implement sustainability initiatives.
• Connect with different offices and disciplines to understand their daily processes and goals and travel and meet them as required.
• Preparing documents and reports, drawing conclusions and propose measures and initiatives to improve Sika’s sustainability footprint.
• Support Marketing communication about sustainability and customer documentations (e.g. EPD)
• Participate in product performance and sustainability assessments (e.g. LCA)
• Cooperate with suppliers and procurement to get supplier specific data and reduce our scope 3 emissions of our purchased raw materials.
• Calculate and analyze sustainability data and compare footprint of raw materials, products and solutions for customers.
• Help managers complete daily tasks (e.g. implementing new policies).
• Help to improve the sustainability data quality and improve our database.
• Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.

About the Role Responsible for analyzing claims data and producing insights to support business needs Leverage on data mining skills to prepare KPIs for reporting and drive insights. Monitor and report operational performance metrics via dashboard. Retrieve, analyse and summarise operations and customer data and develop business intelligence to optimize efficiency of Claims processes. Communicate and present findings to management via slides and oral presentation, and provide insights to enable informed management decisions. Build relationship with team leads and work with them to address issues and provide data support. Finetune and maintain database for development of key metrics. Apply programs such as SQL and Tableau, in analysing and summarizing data insights to explain variances and trends for business solutions. About the Role The Manager of Partnership Distribution Business Intelligence will manage a business intelligence team centered on providing sales performance insights. He/She will develop and implement critical business intelligence initiatives, oversee the collection, transformation and visualization of data and participate in projects that will contribute to strategic business objectives. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Business Intelligence, Analytics & Data: Plan the strategic design, delivery and maintenance of PD reporting and analytics to implement meaningful quantitative or qualitative insights. Acts as strategic business partner to create and deliver value-added dashboards and data feeds to optimize visibility in business performance. Develop consistent approaches and methodologies for data analysis, automate repeatable tasks and drive process efficiencies. Lead change initiatives to transform existing data management, revamp and automate reports to enable up-to-date analytics for sales channels. Participate in annual internal and external strategic business planning, including charting PD ambitions and financial growth. Drive a governance framework to identify and evaluate data quality issues. Collaborate with project stakeholders to curate and execute initiatives. Oversee the deployment of data to the enterprise data warehouse and continuously enhance it to keep up with changing business needs. Explore and harness new data sources in the data warehouse for effective usage and better sales performance management. Support division wide audit matters, inclusive of routine and ad-hoc reviews around sales quality, distributor compensation and campaigns. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of 3 headcount to shape PD data strategy. Spread data intelligence awareness with team members and evaluate tools to improve team competencies in analysis of key business metrics. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH | YOU WILL HAVE: Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or Business Management. At least 10 years of working experience in business performance analysis reporting and data analysis, with 5 years in a managerial position. A self-starter with analytical curiosity and strong business acumen to connect from mass data to transform sales MI into value-added analysis. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience, with ability to develop relationships across local and group levels. Results and detail orientated with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and ability to make data driven recommendations. Strong in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Proficient with SQL, NoSQL, Python and other common programming languages. Good experience in running statistical tests, importing data into dashboards and visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview or a similar tool. Knowledge of life insurance industry in Singapore and/or Asia would be an added advantage.
