The job incumbent will be responsible for supporting the R&D department in various activities, which include the following:

· Support R&D activities for new membrane product or production process improvement.

· Involve in different project-related R&D activities like wastewater treatment, desalination, drinking water treatment, etc.

· Support and perform experiments for membrane characterization and evaluation.

· Carry out qualification tests and analysis for raw materials and products.

· Maintenance and calibration for some of lab equipment.

· Literature search for product development and relevant area.

· Provide reports and updates for R&D activities.

· Other related duties assigned.

Requirements:

· Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Chemistry or equivalent

· Familiar with handling practice of chemicals

· Independent in performing experiments

· Good team player, self-driven and meticulous

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Info:

• Salary: Basic up to $3500 + AWS + VB
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)
• Location: Jurong East

Job Scope:

• To research and develop new products and services
• Research competitors' products and evaluate their detailed functions
• Conduct market research on security systems in the ASEAN region
• Collaborate with Japan HQ R&D and China R&D center for product development
• Survey existing and future infrastructure, including electrical power and telecom networks, to ensure product compatibility
• Provide field technical support by visiting clients to check and maintain CCTV surveillance systems
• Assist in obtaining technical certifications for new and existing products in various countries
• Design and develop test plans for security alarm systems, CCTV systems, and access control systems, adhering to industry standards
• Perform rigorous testing of system components such as control panels, sensors, cameras, access readers, and communication devices
• Simulate real-world security scenarios to identify and address potential vulnerabilities
• Maintain detailed test records and reports for future reference
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot system malfunctions, and document findings
• Collaborate with manufacturers or distributors to resolve issues and optimize system performance
• Provide technical support to internal teams across the ASEAN region
• Conduct in-depth research on emerging security technologies and their potential applications
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for new product development
• Research standards like SS558, EN, and IEC for ASEAN countries
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in security technologies and testing methodologies

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification Diploma in Electronics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security system testing, preferably with exposure to alarm systems, CCTV systems, and access control systems
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools used in security system evaluation
• Strong understanding of electronic security principles and operation of various security system components
• Proficiency in basic IT knowledge is required
• Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting
• Ability to conduct presentation for internal customers and management
• Entry level with relevant internship experience is welcome

Main Responsibilities

· Prepare releasing raw material documents (COAs, Lab Test Report, Health Cert, Invoice, BL, Permit) & SFA list send to Quality team.

· Update COA specification into Navision

· Change raw material “BA” code if require

· Update cargo status after sampling done

· Assembly order to convert lot number/item code for stuffing balance if require

· Cover receptionist duties if require

· Any other job duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar or relevant roles

· Minimum qualification in NITEC

· Proficient in MS Office& Excel

· Good organization and communication skills

· Able to start immediately will be advantageous

Contract Period: From 25 March 2024 to 24 March 2025.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

· Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 1:30pm.

· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

· Personnel will not be required to do overtime.

The Services required are set as follows:

1) Assisting teachers in Science labs / classroom

- Prepare materials before science lessons for P3 to P6

- Preparation of materials for practical tests

- Assisting teachers in the labs during Science lessons

2) Assist in the upkeep of equipment in Science Lab.

- Assisting Teacher IC with:

- recording of loaning/breakage materials

- annual stocking taking of materials in the science lab

- Checking and clearing of unwanted or discard of faulty materials

- Maintenances of equipment by checking the workability of the equipment

- Liaising with vendors to ensure maintenance and checks on equipment are carried out

3) Maintenance of science lab.

- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the labs

- Changing of new displays in the display cabinets

- To disinfect Science Labs rooms as and when required

4) Any other administrative work related to maintenance and upkeep of Science Labs.

5) Assists General Office with general administrative duties.

- Provide administrative support at General Office

- Provide customer service at the reception counter – attend to visitors including parents, staff, pupils and vendors.

i. Answer phone calls within three rings, record phone messages and attend to walk-in enquiries

ii. Make phone calls e.g. helping sick pupils to call parents

iii. Attend to goods delivery and direct them to the appropriate locations

iv. Escort contractors

v. Assist in logistics matters for e.g. packing of items, preparation of rooms for school functions; etc

vi. Shredding of documents

vii. To perform gate duties during school arrival and dismissal time and during time of heavy traffic

viii. Preparation and verification of documents, maintaining and updating of data records, filing and typing and data entry

- Accompany pupils and teachers on Learning Journeys as and when required

- Any other duties assigned by Principal, Vice-Principal and HOD/Science deemed necessary for a Science Lab Assistant
