We are an established car dealer with own workshop with more than 40 mechanics. We have a

vacancy for Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring

that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of workshop staff, including controller, mechanics and interns.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute workshop activities and projects.
• Allocate tasks and monitor the progress of work to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide technical solutions to mechanics when they encounter issues.
• Inspect and assess the quality of work produced in the workshop.
• Ensure that all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and available when needed.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop tools and equipment.
• Perform hands-on repairs in the absence of a team member.
• Monitor workflow to identify any bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Enforce health and safety regulations within the workshop.
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their satisfaction.

Requirements:

•  Diploma or Technical certification in Automotive, Engineering, Mechanical or a related field.
•  Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a workshop environment.
•  Strong understanding of workshop machinery, tools, and processes.
•  Proven leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.
•  Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
•  Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
•  Work location: Jurong
•  Shift - Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday

Responsibilities:

• Act as a primary point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring effective communication and a seamless service experience.
• Provide expert advice to customers on their vehicle's maintenance and repair needs,
• Record customer concerns accurately, communicate service quotations, and estimate job completion.
• Monitor service and repair progress, conduct post-repair inspections, and coordinate rectifications if needed.
• Handle all documentation, cost estimates, billing, and ensure the timely closure of job cards.

Requirements:

• Nitec/Diploma/Degree in Engineering preferably automotive-related.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer service role within the automotive industry.
• Possess the ability to detect basic vehicle faults and problems.
• Demonstrate the ability to work positively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess proficient computer skills to manage customer information and process service orders.
