Logistic Planning & Management

• Supervise the Logistics team and provide mentorship by training delivery personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding logistics strategies
• Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement and new initiatives that optimise service, inventory turns and operational costs for the company
• Tracking and reporting of operations volume (and productivity), customer service level and all aspects of logistics cost
• Managing subcontractors, including transporter for negotiation of transportation rates and services

• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistic systems, imports or exports, or customer issues

Warehouse Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations including stock analysis, planning & replenishment, of all warehouse activities and administration
• Ensure effective and accurate movement and storage of materials / products in the warehouse by establishing operational procedures or activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials
• Ensure accuracy of inventory against system records with minimise stocks discrepancy by conducting cycle counts on periodic basis
• Conducting inventory reconciliation, to ensure inventory integrity, if required
• Optimising warehouse or stores utilisation and resources deployment in meeting incoming and outgoing products schedule
• Optimizing warehousing cost, inventory level and accuracy – minimise excess & obsolete inventory, maximise service levels in conjunction with inventory goals, through planning & deployment of resources
• Maintenance of records and documents for all transactions and inventory related activities
• Sourcing and set-up of new warehousing & operational planning of all shipment, if required

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Warehousing Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Warehouse Management, with 2 years in supervisory, management position
• Good people management, able to lead and manage a team to maintain good working relationship
• Strong problem solving, negotiation and solutions orientation skills
• Proven track record of ensuring the delivery of continuous improvement
• Strong written & spoken communication skills
• Good ERP working knowledge will be an added advantage

Job Description

· Handles customer enquiries (Export/ Import/Transhipment/Customer Service)

· Provide quotations to clients

· Coordinate with agents for rates/ bookings/ shipment arrangement; check on the shipping rules and regulations for the respective countries

· Handle SEA/AIR shipment and ensure all documents (such as BL, pre-alert, delivery order, arrival notice) are in order

· Create booking in system/ Block booking with carrier; monitor carrier schedule

· Verify and take in vendor cost into system; prepare payment

· Create and issue invoice to customers

· Arrange deliveries and follow up with vendors and customers to ensure final destination of shipments

· Perform declaration of permit

· Check and send unstuffing report from warehouse

· Resolve destination charges disputes/ issues

Requirements

· Minimum O Level and above

· No experienced required

· Bilingual in English and Chinese

· Able to work independently as well as being a proactive team member

· Fast learner, possess initiative and drive

Responsibilities

Ø Execute logistics plan in the set up and tear down of event space.

Ø Maintain logistics equipment.

Ø Take inventory of logistics equipment and ensuring that equipment are well maintained and ready for use.

Ø Understand and follow company’s Health and Safety and operational policies and procedures.

Ø All other reasonable and related tasks and responsibilities as requested by the management.
