Key Responsibilities

• Conduct repair operations and oversee them meticulously onboard vessels, in port areas, anchorages, or shipyard settings.
• Manage and oversee the scheduling and execution of projects to ensure prompt completion.
• Perform assessments and determine cost estimates for repair requests.
• Understand technical drawings.
• Generate detailed technical and service reports, compile worklists, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues across all organizational levels.

Connect Energy partners with a manufacturing company in the oil and gas / marine industry to look for an ASSISTANT SUPPLY CHAIN ENGINEER to work in their office in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

For Sales Support

• Manage customers' requests, both technically and commercially and consult all disciplines and department required
• Provide advice and solutions to customers, in close co-operation with several departments, such as Service, Supply Chain, Engineering departments, to offer the best fit solution on all requests and enquiries to comply with customer needs and specifications
• Evaluate customer terms and conditions to comply with agreed Company's Ts& Cs, MSA and/or SLA a
• Initiate, coordinate, evaluate and follow up cost estimations for parts quotations purposes with all applicable departments
• Define timelines and delivery dates
• Analyse customer orders, both technically and commercially and consult all disciplines and department required
• Ensure authorization on received orders and confirmation of the order to client

Administrative

• Process order into inhouse ERP system
• Record and administer customer offer and order progress information, according to CRSM system requirements.
• Organize and chair necessary meetings
• Ensure direct and timely reporting to Account Management, Principals and stakeholders on the status of the solution proposal processes
• Collect, register and report all solution proposal information for customer and product management company database

Reports

• Follow up orders received and confirm authorized orders to clients
• Prepare Purchase Requests and hand over to Supply Chain
• Monitor timely delivery of purchased goods and customer orders, report non conformances to Account Management immediately
• Initiate instructions for the transportation of finished goods to the Supply Chain Department
• Ensure the direct and timely reporting to Account Management, Principals and stakeholders on the status of the solutions proposal progress.
• Initiate instructions and documentation for the transportation of receipt goods to the client

Invoicing

• Ensure completion of all orders related information is ready to prepare the invoice to the customer upon delivery of the items or services as agreed rates and terms
• Monitoring when the payment is received confirmation is received from client and initiating the order execution in case of advance payment

Teamwork and innovation

• Identify deviation and/or distortions which will be reported to the designated AM
• Provide ideas, suggestions and interpretation for improvement for customer relation management and further growth of the Company

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering
• Min. 2 years relevant experience in manufacturing company ideally in oil and gas industry.
• Good attitude, self-motivating and desire to learn.

Qualifications:

• Academic bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Metallurgy/Marine Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10-15 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in marine construction and installations.
• Certifications: AWS CWI/SCWI, ASNT/PCN Level II in Visual Examination (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particles (MT), Radiography (RT), Ultrasound (UT), ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
• Familiarity with word/Excel/quality software systems.

Job Descriptions:

• Review technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and standards pertaining to project requirements.
• Prepare and review project quality documents, NDT plans and procedures, and ITP.
• Administer project internal quality audits to ensure compliance with the project quality plan.
• Monitor inspection and documentation activities of QA Inspectors to ensure compliance with inspection & test plans and project quality requirements.
• Liaise with Owner and class regarding quality-related issues, technical calibrations, and queries.
• Handle and resolve quality-related issues arising from subcontractors and in-house production.
• Check and ensure coverage of NDT as per NDT plan.
• Prepare and submit Manufacturer Data Books (MDB) to Owner and classification society.
• Review and monitor cutting plans, weld maps, material verification reports, inspection reports, NDT reports, weld traceability records, and final DC reports.
• Ensure material preservation, handling, and traceability.
• Review ITP, WPS, PQR, PWHT, and vendor documents.
• Review welding, NDT, and other equipment calibrations.
• Familiarity with codes & standards like ASME, API, ANSI, AWS, IACS, ABS, NR, etc.
• Assign systems to be tested to various supervisors and technicians involved in the operation.
• Review quality work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with all sections for inspection & testing requirements.
• Coordinate testing/commissioning requirements with Engineering, Project Manager, QA Department, and vendors.
• Report non-conformance and issue Improvement notes, where necessary.
• Ensure timely completion of projects.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide chauffeuring support
• Ensure the vehicles are well maintained
• Ensure the vehicles are meeting all safety requirements
• Cleaning of vehicles on a regular basis to ensure the cleaniness at all times
• Drive and operate the assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
• Follow and comply with all the road traffic rules at all times.
• Carry out other ad-hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

• Possess a valid class 3 driving license with clean record
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with driving a minivan. (E.g. Toyota Vellfire)
• Familiar with road traffic rules, roads in Singapore

Job Description

• Liaise with Engineers, RTO, sub-contractors on day-to-day operations and technical issues.
• Supervise construction of structural & architectural works as per drawings / details.
• Ensure work done compliance with design, specifications, safety requirements and related local statutory regulations.
• Ensure good quality of works and manage defects rectifications.
• Monitoring the site progress as per targeted schedules.
• Reporting to Project Manager / Site Manager on site progress status.
• Assist in the materials order, receipt and control of all material on site.
• Responsible for the day to day, safe and efficient operation of the construction activities on site.
• Monitor, analyse and arrange manpower according to the ongoing works on site.
• Responsible for safe work environment and safety procedure adherence.
• Ferry workers to and from their dormitories to designated workplaces.
• Delivery and collect materials from supplier/contractors on time.
• Adhere to allocated driving schedule, timing and being punctual in sending passengers to assigned destinations.
• Maintaining the vehicles’ safety and cleanliness – regularly checking on vehicle tyres, brakes, turn signals etc.
• Reporting delays, accidents and emergencies to the operations team if any.
• Perform other related ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree, Diploma or equivalent or relevant job experience of minimum 5 years.
• Class 3 driving license, with good driving record.
• Familiar with Singapore roads/route.
• Possess BCSS certificate.
• Preferably able to start work within short notice.
• Responsible, punctual, committed, reliable and Positive working attitude.
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Able to be on standby during off days and after office hours when required.
• Able to do over-time work on short notice.
• 5.5 days work per week.
