Primary Responsibilities

• Develop daily/monthly operational and financial reports, dashboard/matrix to keep track of departments’ productivity and financial performance.
• Monthly review of Transportation departments’ financial performance against historical results, forecasts, and budgets, and provide recommendations to reduce redundancy, improve efficiency and ensure financial targets are met.
• Timely review of accuracy of Transportation statistics required for weekly and monthly reporting purposes.
• Review departments’ billing and statistical recording processes and implement procedures to straighten any process inefficiencies and ensure billing and data records are timely, accurate and complete.
• Maintenance of daily and monthly operational data for statistical reporting.
• Involved in contract tender exercise for departments’ required products and services with Procurement and respective Operations teams and conduct detailed review of terms and clauses for contractual agreements.
• Support and review financial aspects of operational projects and initiatives which drive process improvements and guest satisfaction.
• Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure procedures are in line with Finance, Procurement and Compliance requirements.
• Review of Transportation departments’ contractual and purchase requisition listing to ensure timelines are complied with Procurement and Compliance requirements.
• Perform ad hoc and routine analyses supported with data and financial projections/impact as assigned by Management for strategy and operational decision-making purposes.
• Interpret and analyze business statistical data to support Operations teams with execution of process enhancement initiatives.
• Spearhead on the development and maintenance of annual operating and capital budgets and preparation of budget justifications for Transportation departments.
• Key liaison between Transportation and other internal stakeholders (Procurement, Compliance, Finance) to address questions relating to departments’ financial performance, reports and any relevant processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related with at least 5 years work experience in similar capacity related to business planning or financial analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and adept at managing stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team and with stakeholders from different functional areas.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle SG spares RFQ-sales processes from start to end.
• Develop and execute strategies to effectively market and sell spare parts.
• Draft and submit detailed proposals, including both technical specifications and commercial terms.
• Communicate with clients, negotiate terms, and ensure their needs are met throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate closely with HQ in China for technical support and training.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through high-quality and frequent interactions.
• Manage ongoing project activities and provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify growth areas and take proactive actions to expand the spares business in Singapore.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles related to sales, purchasing, or project management, preferably within the spare parts.
• Strong maritime technical acumen, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in managing RFQ-sales processes and preparing detailed proposals.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable with remote work arrangements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and spend approximately 1 month in China for initial training.
• Ability to act on initiative in a proactive manner and manage time effectively.
• Candidates who can communicate in Mandarin will be highly preferred, as many of our customers and colleagues speak Chinese as their mother tongue.

• Safely transport company workers between sites, dormitories, the office, and other locations as assigned by Superior/Management.
• Operate the lorry crane for loading, unloading, and transportation of materials as required, ensuring safe and efficient use.
• Conduct daily checks and routine maintenance of the lorry crane, reporting any issues or malfunctions to Superior/Management.
• Immediately report any vehicle or lorry crane issues or unsafe conditions to the Superior/Management, ensuring timely repairs.
• Maintain safe driving and crane operation practices at all times, strictly adhering to traffic regulations and the company’s safety standards.

Job Requirements:

• Possess Valid Class 4/5 Singapore driving license, preferably with lorry crane operator license.
• At least 2- 3 years relevant work experience required for this role.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Familiar with Singapore roads.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Superior/Management.
