Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Sourcing and Procurement members
- Optimize the organization's procurement process by developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with overall business goals
- Evaluate quotations, create competitive advantage for best price, lead time and delivery terms
- Responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with suppliers
- Work independently to source for new suppliers according to Direct & Indirect requirements
- Analyse current spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings. Manage cost reduction activities to achieve annual cost reduction KPIs and provide regular reports to management
- Implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency within the procurement process
- Prepare and execute contracts as well as perform post-award administration (eg. Negotiating, issuing change orders, and contract close-outs.)
- Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and regulatory factors
- Ensure compliance with Company’s Sourcing and Procurement guidelines and policies
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management / Engineering background
- 8+ Years experience in a Strategic Sourcing in Direct and / or Indirect procurement business environment, knowledge in DCS and other Engineering industry Sourcing and Procurement
- Sound knowledge in understanding and negotiating Terms and Conditions of Purchase with Suppliers
- Deliverable-focused, self-motivated with an Analytical mindset with proficiency in data to excel in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Experience in SAP / HANA / Ariba and other Procurement system / software is an added advantage
- Expert in Excel / BI report knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
