The Sourcing Specialist plays a supportive role for the GSC (Global Supply Chain) Strategic Sourcing Managers. Their responsibilities include assisting with contract services procurement, contract execution, and supplier onboarding. Essentially, they extend the capabilities of the Global Supply Chain Sourcing Managers by providing tactical support in these areas
Supply Chain Management – Onboarding New Suppliers:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new regional/site suppliers using company’s specific onboarding tool.
- Ensure supplier vendor codes are ready in the system before the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Applicable to all categories.
Contract Services Procurement – Various Categories:
- Conduct RFPs for multiple sites simultaneously.
- Evaluate commercial bids and ensure consistent scope understanding among bidders.
- Review contract documents for quality.
- Prepare the Award Recommendation Letter (ARL) for GSC and DCE.
- Coordinate contract routing for timely signatory.
- Relevant for indirect services only, particularly professional services.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of Indirect Sourcing (Procurement) experience is a must have. Contract management experience would be secondary.
- Well-versed in program / project management i.e. looking at cost, adhering to timelines etc. Proven track-record of managing high demands and high attention to detail given the nature of the role
- Cost management experience from a procurement perspective
