Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and service providers to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
• Prepare, handle, and process documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and shipment papers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies as well as local, international, and governmental regulations concerning freight transportation.
• Track and trace shipments, updating the status to all stakeholders and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
• Assist in negotiating rates with carriers and service providers to manage costs effectively.

• Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth operation.
• Maintain records of all freight activities, ensuring accurate data entry and file management.

Job Description

· Liaise with Sales, Customer, Production and QC to process local or export orders to all countries.

· Review export L/C to ensure the terms are as according to Pro-forma Invoice and request amendments if required.

· Follow up with Sales, Customer and Finance on the payment related matters as and when required prior shipping arrangement.

· Arrange FCL, LCL or air freight bookings with the logistics service providers and advise the vessel details to customer.

· Arrange transportation for local and export orders, and ensure timely shipments by hauler. For Dangerous Goods shipments, follow-up with forwarder or carrier for PM4 approval, and liaise with hauler for container trucking upon DG approved.

· Issue Packing List to Warehouse for local and export shipments.

· Liaise with internal and external customers on customer inquiries or requests and shipment co-ordination, and resolve operational issues.

· Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of all shipping documents.

· Participate in annual stock take.

· Other admin tasks e.g. filing, arrange local and overseas courier service etc.

Job Requirements

· Diploma in Logistics or equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing industry

· Well verse in shipping documentations and Microsoft Excel

· Experience in DG documentations will be an added advantage

· Proficient in Navision System will be an added advantage

· Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with cross-functional team

· Ability to multi-task under fast paced environment

· Willing to work in Jurong Island
