Location: Tuas, near Gul Circle MRT
Role Overview: Join a top-tier manufacturer of industrial power transmission components as a Shipping Executive. This role is essential in coordinating logistics and supply chain operations, managing shipping documentation, and ensuring smooth communication with freight forwarders and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage import/export shipping documentation for land, air, and sea freight.
- Liaise with forwarding agents, clients, and the warehouse.
- Oversee timely delivery of goods and manage billing.
- Handle client inquiries, including shipment tracking.
- Address administrative tasks related to air and sea operations.
- Provide quotations, process sales orders, and manage invoicing.
- Generate sales reports, maintain price lists, and update the sales team.
- Collaborate with external customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Requirements
- Diploma or higher in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field.
- Background in import and export shipping documentation 1-3 years of experience (ability to liaise with land, air, and sea freight forwarders)
- Proficiency in Mandarin (for communication with Chinese counterparts).
- Ability to commute to Gul Circle (Tuas area) long-term.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and INCOTERMS.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 365, and document control.
- Good customer service skills; knowledge of HS codes and Strategic Goods Control is a plus.
