Automotive Service Technician

Porsche Singapore is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician with experience in vehicle servicing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a commitment to service excellence.  

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.  

• Carry out repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical components, including high-voltage systems. 

• Conduct scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks, in line with manufacturer and dealership guidelines. 

• Accurately document all work performed, including parts and labour, to maintain complete repair records. 

• Use specialised diagnostic tools, hand tools, and electronic testing equipment safely and efficiently, while maintaining a clean and organised workspace and adhering to safety and environmental regulations. 
• Provide excellent service by proactively and effectively communicating necessary repairs, timelines, status updates, and maintenance needs with all After Sales departments, Service Advisors and customers, while addressing any customer concerns.  

• Stay updated on automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry best practices, with a focus on Porsche vehicle systems by participating in on-the-job training and certification programs as needed. 

• Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) are preferred 

• Experience as automotive service technician, specifically with Porsche vehicles, along with knowledge of Porsche’s mechanical and electronic vehicle systems or manufacturer-specific training in Porsche service and repair is highly preferred  

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in diagnostic tools and repair equipment, particularly with Porsche models 
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to providing high-quality work 

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 

• Physical capability to lift up to 20kg and perform tasks associated with automotive repair 

• Possess a Class 3 Driving License with at least 4 years of driving experience 

• Ability for a 5.5 day work week 

JOB RESPONSBILITY:

• Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in complying with Policies & Procedures and Aviation Authorities Rules and Regulations.
• Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft.
• Access and re-install aircraft components, which obstruct the performance of the assigned tasks.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installation.
• Document work performed per quality procedure manual.
• Perform other tasks cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and loads and secures ballast and/or freight as required.
• Assist with fueling/ defueling aircraft as required.
• Assist Aircraft Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing of aircraft.
• Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
• Work on aircraft as well as in component shops.
• Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locations.
• Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification.

  PREFERED SKILL
• You have minimum Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with at least 5 years signing off in Singapore, CAAS licensed preferred and experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance.
• You have had experience working on aircrafts.
• You must Hold College/ Diploma and / or equivalent academic qualification.
• You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
• You have planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Con Technician to join our team at Royal Ocean Marine. As an Air Con Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems on vessels and marine facilities.

Your main duties will include:

• Conducting inspections and troubleshooting of air conditioning systems
• Performing routine maintenance and servicing of air conditioning units
• Identifying and repairing any faults or issues in the systems
• Installing new air conditioning systems as necessary
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Documenting all maintenance, repairs, and installations
• Providing recommendations and advice for improving system performance and energy efficiency
• Collaborating with other members of the marine engineering department to ensure optimal operation of air conditioning systems
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in air conditioning systems, preferably with experience in the marine industry. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are also essential.

• Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or a related field
