SPOT VOYAGES

Pre – Fixture:

• Liaise with Chartering Officer in answering to Charterer’s Queries
• Send vessel’s Q88, trading certificates and fill up questionnaires as required by Charterer’s and send it to them.
• Ask vessel for stowage plan and send it to charterer’s after getting the same approved from the Operations Superintendent.

Vessel Fixed and Subjects Lifted:

• Get the Fixture Recap from Chartering Officer and study the same along with the C/P and Rider Clauses
• Forward the Fixture Recap to the vessel
• Liaise with brokers to get the voyage orders and forward the same to Master after going through it and making sure that the same is in line with the Recap.
• Follow up with Master for the final stowage plan and forward the same to Charterer’s after reviewing the same.
• Appoint Agents as required via DA outsourcing company.
• Obtain the authorization from the Fleet GM/his designate for making the necessary arrangements to remit to the agent's account
• Execute the voyage while always ensuring that legal aspects and liabilities are complied with.

• Maintain good housekeeping. Ensure health, safety, cleanliness and security of the warehouse/receiving and distribution goods area at all times.
• Assist the Warehouse Executive in issuing purchase orders to secure minimum or sufficient inventory level and closely liaise with suppliers to ensure the delivery requirements. Expedite timely delivery of spare parts and goods to customers.
• Back up as Driver/Delivery in their absence. Safely transport equipment and goods to customer locations promptly, safely, and courteously.
• Maintain company lorry in good condition, keep driver logs, and conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Monitors all deliveries to customers to meet their requirements.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Work closely with freight forwarders and shipping agents for the most accurate and preferred quotes and destinations.
• Assist the Warehouse Executive in producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics on the level of inventory balance and any physical stock discrepancy to be fixed.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

REQUIREMENT

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Levels.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operation and inventory control.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good interpersonal and communication.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities

Candidates are expected to:-

· Ensure seaworthiness of the ship in accordance to voyage schedule and bunker operation.

· Lead the ship’s officers and crew in the following, including but not limited to:-

1. Comply with applicable rules, instructions, and contracts of cargo operations;

2. Implement and execute prevailing maritime safety and environmental policies;

3. Enforce security and safety procedures in accordance with local, national, and international laws and requirements;

4. Upkeep and review relevant shipboard documents, certificates, and records, including but not limited to vessel certificates, navigation manuals, and crew qualifications;

5. Review safety and environment-related activities; and

6. Review shipboard contingency procedures.

· Take charge of the Safety Management System, including but not limited to:-

1. Lead and assign roles to senior officers;

2. Ensure the system is kept current through regular audits; and

3. Ensure all records are kept current and accurate.

4. Ensure all ship’s crew possess qualifications that comply with maritime regulations and conventions, such as MARPOL, SOLAS, SCTW, and ISPS; and
