Responsibility
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Construction Truck Driver to join our team, responsible for transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy-duty trucks, a solid understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to navigate construction sites safely and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, strong driving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Job Description
* Safely transport materials such as sand, gravel, cement, steel, and construction equipment to and from construction sites in a timely manner.
* Operate various types of construction trucks (e.g., dump trucks, flatbeds, cement mixers) safely, ensuring all loads are within the truck's capacity and securely fastened.
* Conduct thorough inspections of the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in safe working condition. Check fluid levels, tires, brakes, and load securing equipment.
* Navigate through construction sites and busy roads, often in tight or challenging spaces, while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.
* Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as needed, ensuring safe practices are followed to avoid accidents. Coordinate with other team members to unload materials in designated locations.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load details, delivery times, mileage, and fuel usage. Report any incidents, delays, or issues during transport to supervisors.
* Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations related to vehicle operation and construction site activities. Ensure that all safety gear and procedures are followed during transport and unloading.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, site managers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and ensure the timely and safe arrival of materials. Notify team members of any potential delays or hazards encountered during transportation.
* Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
* Able to work in pressure environment and need work under the sun.
* Need work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
*Able to work rotating shifts and overtime.
* Location TAMPINES, 1ST trip will start at 6am-630am
Requirement
* At least 2 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
* Must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
* Possess a Singapore Class 4/5 driving license or able to take Class 4/5 Driving License.
* Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
* Bilingual speaker, need to liaise with Chinese & English client & workers.
* Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
* Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
* Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
* Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
