As an Assistant Manager (Tech-Biz), you will play a crucial role in developing industry collaborations and driving innovation! You will engage with companies, understand industry needs and formulate strategic plans for impactful outreach. JOB DESCRIPTION
- Engage various government agencies, TAC and companies to understand industry needs and technology requirements, and to collate the industry intelligence for the institute.
- Formulate a comprehensive industry development strategy and engagement plan for an assigned Industry Initiative to effectively reach out to the industry.
- Execute industry engagement plans and drive initiatives to establish strong collaborations with companies, facilitating successful technology transfers.
- Organise industry-sharing events such as seminars, roundtable discussions, and workshops to outreach to the industry , foster meaningful connections with the industry and secure research collaboration projects
- Meet Industry KPI: Grow SIMTech Industry Revenue, Industry in-kind contribution, Licensing revenue, competitive funding, publicity of successful implementation of SIMTech solutions
- Collaborate with the Course Leader to formulate and initiate training courses tailored to the industry’s needs, by providing market intelligence information, competitive analysis and gap analysis.
- Support the Research Groups in industry-related engagements for competitive project formulation and seamless execution.
- Take charge of the business and legal documentation for projects, including liaising with companies and alignment with internal stakeholders.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and take charge of business aspects in ongoing projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and execute industry outreach activities to generate industry interest to secure successful collaborations.
• Bonus: With industry experience in Manufacturing or R&D sectors. Additional qualifications in Business will be considered a plus.
