Position Overview:

The AV Technician will be a key contributor to the seamless operation and maintenance of MAS's audio-visual (AV) and video conferencing (VC) systems. This role requires technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting a wide range of virtual and physical events. The AV Technician will ensure all AV systems are functioning optimally while delivering exceptional service to MAS's stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Support and Operations

• Operate and manage AV and VC systems for daily virtual and physical events, ensuring smooth execution.
• Plan and coordinate schedules for multiple events, including multi-day sessions, with setups and tests completed at least 30 minutes before the start of each event.

2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance to ensure AV and VC systems remain in excellent working condition.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment, addressing issues promptly.
• Monitor and respond to maintenance service requests, investigating faults, and initiating corrective actions for equipment breakdowns.

3. Reporting and Documentation

• Produce and maintain weekly maintenance reports for filing and review.
• Maintain an up-to-date asset inventory with proper labeling and detailed incident/problem reports.
• Update engineering system information databases, including drawings, operations manuals, and maintenance logs.

4. Coordination and Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate rectification, maintenance, replacement, and upgrading of AV and VC systems.
• Collaborate with contractors for AV equipment setup, seating arrangements, and venue preparation.
• Oversee cleaning contractors and ensure the readiness of meeting venues.

5. Additional Responsibilities

• Handle other AV and VC system tasks or related duties as required by operational needs.
• Qualifications and Skills:
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in AV equipment operations, maintenance, and facility management services.

FM Technician Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections of installations, fixtures and fittings, equipment, common facilities and property to ensure they are clean, safe and in good working condition.
2. Undertake minor building, mechanical and electrical repair works, and handyman works (such as changing of light bulbs, reset drawer locks, etc).
3. Monitor and attend to maintenance service requests, investigate and initiate corrective actions for any service and equipment breakdown, or fault detected during routine check, servicing and maintenance.
4. Daily, weekly and monthly inspection of key facilities, systems and critical areas.
5. Coordinate and supervise the rectification of defects, maintenance, replacement and upgrading works carried out by contractors.
6. Supervise contractors/vendors performing maintenance works on building facilities (e.g. Building maintenance, Mechanical & Electrical systems (M&E), horticulture, cleaning, pest control etc).
7. Monitor utilities consumption by taking water and electricity meter readings and report out of normal consumptions.
8. Assist in fire safety management, emergencies and business continuity plan for the Authority’s premise.
9. Liaise with Authority’s employees on projects and maintenance works and ensure compliance with fire, health and safety standards.
10. Coordinate and work with audio and visual equipment and cleaning contractors to set up meeting venues including seating arrangements and equipment.
11. Update information databases and breakdown record for engineering systems.
12. Any other facilities management works or related works that arise from the building operations and need.

Job Qualifications

1. At least three (3) years’ relevant experience in building operation and maintenance of building facilities.
2. The technicians shall hold minimum a NITEC/Higher NITEC in Facility Management or Mechanical and Electrical Services or equivalent.
3. Additional experience in electrical system, uninterruptible power supply, generators, FM200, fire alarm, sprinkler, high voltage and low voltage switchboards will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Working with a back-office development team, the candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the software solution for a high volume and performance intensive back office of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system. The ideal candidate must have experience in software modernization, cloud computing and database development, as well as a strong background in software development and programming languages.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders;

• Design, develop and maintain of the software;

• Prepare and submit deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle, such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Code, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual,

Training Manual and other documents as required by the Authority;

• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues;

• Liaise with users on the requirement, design and testing issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Computer Science, IT or engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development;

• Gone through at least one full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with experience in producing SDLC documentation;

• Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge and experience in the mentioned technologies are also welcome to apply;

• Experience in analysing requirements, designing, development and delivering complex enterprise applications in Enterprise Java, web programming on UNIX / LINUX and Windows environment;

• Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system;

• Experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot;

• Experience in Cloud Computing, Kubernetes & Dockers, AWS Services like Amazon ECS Fargate, AWS RDS & Lambda will be an advantage;

• Experience in Software Modernization, Containerization, Microservices will be an advantage;

• Experience in database design, development and performance tuning;

• Experience in Kafka, MQ, Service Mesh, Snowflake will be an advantage;
