About the Role

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Responsible for engagement with internal and external partners to deliver Compliance's initiatives.

• Responsible for the development and implementation of relevant Compliance policies and procedures that is vital to support the objectives and values of IW to manage regulatory risks.

• Ensure effective communication of compliance and risk matters including timely and accurate reporting and/or escalation of such matters in accordance with relevant reporting and protocols to the Authority and/or AIA Group. These include Balanced Scorecard and FAA Misconduct etc.

• Collaborating closely with Sales team to ensure quality recruitment of representatives and putting in place controls and programs to monitor and ensure quality business brought in by the representatives.

• Develop or lead all aspects of development of structural approach and procedures to effectively handle representatives/sales staff misconduct, from receiving allegations to planning and conducting preliminary investigations to taking remedial/recovery actions

• Develop and implement an effective education and engagement program through ongoing communication and training to build a strong culture of compliance and ethics

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE

• Degree holder in an appropriate field (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Business Management or Law)

• 5 to 8 years of work experience in Regulatory and Market Conduct Compliance

• In-depth understanding of the Insurance business preferred and, in lieu of insurance and financial services.

• In-depth knowledge of Industry’s operations, regulations and guidelines

• A highly disciplined and great teammate with the ability to work well with all partners

• Good command of written and spoken English

About the Role

• Work closely with the distribution channels and other support units (such as New Business) to coordinate the EDD case management and ensure relevant supporting documents or alternative evidence as acquired are acceptable within the internal framework.

• Provide training, advisory and guidance to the relevant business units on the EDD requirements, especially on the SOF/ SOW corroboration requirements and proactively identify areas of improvements in relation to the area of independent assessment, risk mitigations and benchmarking. 

• Managing the annual HRC periodic review and trigger event review in accordance with the applicable AML/CTF policies / guidelines / SOPs.

• Managing and reviewing the alerts resolutions arising from name screening / transaction monitoring / customer risk scoring systems and liaise with other functional units (e.g. Life Operations) for required investigation and follow-up actions.

• Conduct investigation into suspicious activities and prepare suspicious transaction report for timely filing to STRO.

• Provide suggestions / supports to improve system/operation processes and methodologies through participation of operational improvement or digitalization projects, e.g. conduct user acceptance test, update operation manuals, roll out new processes etc.

• Maintain accurate regular review, risk assessment, trigger event review and enhanced due diligence records. Assist in preparation of the AML/CTF related management reports

• Support risk assessment / compliance review upon request.

• Exercise diligence in delivering quality work and strong dedication to agreed timeline.

Key Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of working experience in Insurance or Banking industry supporting Financial Crime Compliance functions.

• Experience in EDD reviews and KYC onboarding for HNW / offshore customers, including good understanding of the various issues and practical solutions of the SOF / SOW corroborations for high risk clients.

• In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT control processes and MAS requirements.

• Ability to apply risk based approach or mitigations to handle relevant AML risks. Capable of making decisions and provide alternative solutions. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to positively influence internal (distributions channels and support staff) and external parties (brokers, bankers, FSC) to ensure strong and effective AML risk and compliance governance.

• Attention to details, ability to handle high workload and multi-task

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Certifications pertaining to AML/KYC, e.g. ACAMS with hands-on experience in using AML System and/or data analytics tool an added advantage, e.g. Nice Actimize, Excel, SQL, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to achieve business sales targets and other key performance indicators as prescribed by the company
• To hunt for and expand sources of referrals, which may include AIA related entities in the region eg AIA agencies in the region and Bank Partners, as well as non AIA related entities which might have potential for to introduce Affluent / HNW clients which may include International Brokers, Bancassurance, FA and Agency channels, to foster and build sales growth

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business Management / Banking & Finance)
• Minimum 10-15 years of sales & management experience in the finance industry, preferably life insurance
• Attained CLI, ILP, HI, FNA qualification e.g., M5, M9 & HI
• Strong business development & high net worth (HNW) experience with partners and intermediaries which includes but not limited to international brokerages, bancassurance, FA and agency channels
• Good technical knowledge of high net worth (HNW) insurance, investment and wealth management products and services
• Demonstrated track record in achieving sales target
• Effective problem solving, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

About the Role

About the Role

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

The main focuses of this position are as below:

• Establish an efficient and integrated process of custodian account opening, problem solving for new accounts, due diligence checking and ongoing account asset value monitoring/reporting
• Build and manage business partnering relationships and as well as onboarding of new custodian partners
• Responsible for account value updates, maintenances as well as account analytics to support internal analysis and reporting

About the Role

• Responsible in campaign management and ensuring timely end-to-end campaign execution. From conceptualization to cost analysis, working out operational process, technical enhancements and digital implementation as well as getting clearance for necessary approvals.

Payroll and Process Improvement:

• Work with outsourced payroll vendor, ensure accurate and timely interpretation and data integration to payroll systems, as well as payment-related calculations for payroll accuracy. Process statutory payments and deductions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate independent reviews of the entities’ compliance against various information security and technology risk regulations such as MAS TRM Guidelines, MAS 132 Notice on Cyber Hygiene and MAS 127 Notice on TRM for AIA Singapore, as well as Brunei technology risk regulations for AIA Brunei.
• Support in the divisions’ risk and controls assessment exercises, as well as quarterly internal controls for financial reporting controls assessments
• Support the assurance initiatives under the First Line of Defense to uplift the technology and cyber controls landscape for the Company

Information Security & Technology Risk Metrics

• Support the alignment of various information security and technology risk metrics for management reporting and escalation – this includes reporting/escalation of outstanding or overdue action required from penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, security incidents, policy/standards deviations, third party security assessments, etc.
• Review and assess collated metrics and material for consistency checks and trends

Policy, Standards and Exception Management

• Communicate material changes to internal policies/standards to stakeholders Facilitate risk evaluations and exception handling to deviations from the policies, standards and regulatory requirements

Risk & Compliance Initiatives

• Assist in enterprise-wide risk and compliance coordination for Technology division, where applicable

Embark on a fulfilling role as an Actuarial Analyst in the Appointed Actuary Department, supporting General Insurance reporting, meeting regulatory requirements, and contributing to key department projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Prepare and present statutory and regulatory reports with in-dept analysis and clear, concise explanations of the results.
• Optimise and streamline processes for general insurance reporting analytics, implementing improvements while maintaining robust controls and documentation.
• Contribute to project management functions, ensuring seamless support for the annual bonus communication exercise.
• Assist with the Prophet modelling project aimed at enhancing inforce management of Par Fund.

YOU WILL HAVE

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in in Actuarial Science or an equivalent field, with up to 1 year of experience in actuarial work.
• Demonstrated progress in actuarial professional exams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is preferred.
• Knowledge of Prophet is a highly desirable.
