Abacus Capital – Corporate Advisory - Analyst

Abacus Capital runs a Corporate Advisory practice in which the firm advises corporate clients on strategy, capital raising and M&A. The Analyst at Abacus Capital will be expected to participate in the entire lifecycle of the advisory deal process, from origination to execution.

Role and responsibilities:

• Origination, structuring and execution of M&A / Fundraising / Corporate finance deals
• Financial modeling and valuation analysis, using different methods, e.g., DCF, market comps, etc.
• Preparing pitch books, info memos and investor presentation materials for client meetings
• Due diligence & valuation analysis on corporates and assets
• Market, industry and company research and report writing, use of databases, e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc.
• Good stakeholder management, liaising with different teams, clients, and third-party advisers

Profile Of Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or accounting or closely related areas of Business Administration
• Ideally more than 1 year of working experience with M&A experience (i.e. investment bank, Big 4 Corporate Finance/Transaction services) - Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, skills, and experience of the selected candidate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrates problem-solving and organizational skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Experienced in assisting with client development
• Analytical and numerate with basic accounting and finance knowledge
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, CapIQ, Excel, PPT and Word
