Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join our client in Singapore. This job requires good understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering. This is for Remote Operating Vehicles (ROVs). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting ROVs for underwater operations. There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently use resources to ensure the systems are operational and stable before job mobilization, following approved specifications and procedures.
- Ensure the team adheres to the company's safety management system and standard operating procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs, maintaining up-to-date records of technical procedures, system databases, non-conformity reports, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during operations.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports on ROV activities.
- Support training and mentoring of junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ROV technology.
- Support the Technical Manager in monitoring and improving ROV performance and overall company operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify problems and recommend optimal solutions.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, including R&D, providing technical expertise during relevant discussions.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CTO, Technical Manager, or Country Manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Marine Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical or related field.
- Ideally 3 years of Field service experience, with offshore exposure preferred.
- Experience in 3D modelling (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) or programming (Python, C++, MATLAB) preferred but not essential
- Fluent in written and verbal English
