Our client, a leading player in the food industry, is seeking Assistant Procurement Manager to join their growing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the developing of purchasing strategies together with the HOD based on company goals and market trends.
• Source and evaluate international suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and supplier reputation.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Maintain and update inventory records and ensure accuracy in purchasing and delivery.
• Work closely with international suppliers, key stakeholders and functional team members to ensure uninterrupted supplies of products.
• Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Handle administrative tasks such as preparing purchase orders, requisitions, and reports.
• Resolve supplier or delivery issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in purchasing and supply chain management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all procurement activities.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns related to procurement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven 3-5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management in the food/foodservice industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide sales support to the sales team in administrative area
• Support sales persons in back-office tasks (tenders, orders, quotations, documents and CRM) and customer inquiries
• Prepare and tabulate daily/ weekly / monthly sales reports for the sales team and MD
• Monitor inventory movement vs sales forecast and update into the system
• Customer relationship management

• Record every material deficit into the Pacer System.
• Follow vendor deliveries, shortages, and order availability.
• To support the production plan, identify, assess, and offer material solutions in coordination with the planning team.
• Encourage supplier performance evaluations in order to reach the required pricing, quality, delivery, and support service standards.
• Maintain ideal inventory levels and ensure material fulfillment for engine manufacturing by managing active WIP and keeping an eye on FG/WIP that is getting older.

• Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or any other related field
• At least 1-2 years of relevant procurement experience in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely fulfillment of all pending items
• Log all material shortages into the Pacer System accurately
• Monitor vendor deliveries, address shortages, and verify order availability
• Collaborate with the planning team to identify, evaluate, and implement material solutions supporting the production schedule
• Promote supplier performance evaluations to achieve desired standards in pricing, quality, delivery, and support services
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for engine manufacturing by managing active Work-In-Progress (WIP) and monitoring aging Finished Goods (FG) and WIP
• Conduct component utilization analyses and develop action plans to maintain stock levels based on current usage trends (Reorder Point/Reorder Level)
• Liaise with vendors to resolve issues related to defective parts (DR reports) and reconcile invoice discrepancies (DFM)
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and company objectives

Job Entry Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
• Expereience with relevant procurement experience is a plus
• Experience within the Aerospace or Defense industries is a plus
