Job Description

• Good co-ordination skills and good technical knowledge of M&E systems/ equipment, including security systems
• To carry out regular site supervision and inspection of the works/materials including any off-site production as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that mechanical and electrical works, including security systems, are constructed to required quality, accuracy and workmanship
• To monitor work in progress in accordance to Approved Master Schedules with breakdown to Monthly, Weekly and Daily programmes
• To assist the RE on daily, weekly and monthly reports of site progress as per contractor’s approved program, activities, issues and resolutions
• To check and verify reports, variations and progress claims submitted by contractors, including as built quantity for the variations
• To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the SO and RE.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Registered with IES/ ACES as a Resident Technical
• Minimum 5 years of M&E work experience with strong knowledge of local construction practices air-conditioning, electrical, fire protection, security systems, BMS, plumbing, sanitary and gas services
• Working location will be at Sentosa

Responsibilities

• To be capable of performing the following duties on his own:
• Check installations of static equipment, coating, painting, piping etc
• Review installation to ensure compliance with construction drawings
• Ensure installation has adequate space with operation and maintenance considerations
• Inspect pressure vessels, storage tanks etc and ensure safety devices are properly installed
• Active role in technical discussions with contractors and equipment suppliers
• Witness the commissioning of rotating and non-rotating equipment
• Proper record keeping of all inspection/witness activities carried out
• Perform inspection for defects clearing.
• Ensure defects are cleared before signing off
• Carry out other inspection/witness activities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Posses minimally O'levels or equivalent
• Minimally 10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance inspections for Infrastructure or power plant projects
• Familiar with Pipping works
• Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required

Description

• Lead and manage MEP design coordination and interfacing with other designers/disciplines/contractors/specialists.
• Lead in MEP service coordination i.e., CSD/SEM and CCSM.
• Involve in Coordinated Installation Programme (CIP) coordination with other designers/disciplines/contractors/specialists.
• Conduct coordination meeting with all MEP trade sub-contractors.
• Liaise with relevant authorities for MEP services.
• Monitor all MEP trade sub-con on-site work and workforce according to the construction schedule.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience within the construction industry
• Familiar with MEP drawings for infrastructure/building projects
• Familiar with MEP design coordination, service coordination
• Familiar with navigation of BIM/CCSM coordination software such as Autodesk Navisworks.
• Familiar with MEP installation works, resource planning, site coordination, sequence of works and CIP coordination.
• Team player, possess effective communication skill and able to work independently.
