Experience / Skills:

• Degree in Mechnical Engineering (or equivalent qualification) or have a proven track record in the delivery of design projects.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience, preferably in consulting environment, with minimum 3 years of working experience in detailed design, design with contractor and onsite experience.
• Relevant experience in mechanical/electrical building services engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations.
• Have knowledge and understanding of engineering practices, techniques and procedures and interfaces with design team and client needs.
• Make reference to regulations, industry standards and good practice in engineering design.
• A track record of having worked on a variety of Building Services designs covering for example, Infrastructure, Education, Healthcare and Commercial projects.

• Able to contribute to the fee proposal and determine resources.
• Able to assess staff requirements at each work stage, agreeing these with the Project Manager and be able to manage single disciplinary and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Worked in infrastructure projects, e.g. railway projects will be an added advantage
• Experience in BIM (Revit) will be an added advantage.
• A member of a professional Institution or close to achieving professional engineer status.

Role Responsibilities:

• Attend/Chair progress, design team and coordination meetings.
• Represent AECOM at client, design team and progress meetings throughout the course of the design and construction stages of the project.
• Prepare outline scheme report/technical content of the design information
• Input to pre-qualification and selection of contractors, respond to tender queries, comment and review tender returns.
• Attend tender/client interviews.
• Ensure the project work complies with the Project Management Plan and Programme.
• Ensure quality, sound and efficient engineering design service being reflected in every project deliverable.
• Conduct design check/review with junior engineers on every project handled.
• Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimation and details/ schedules for projects.
• Obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Design Consultants for the design to proceed.
• Liaise with clients, professional organizations, Authorities, contractors, suppliers, sub contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and meet effectively the requirements and expectations of clients.
• To working junior engineers, provide necessary guidance, training and provide assistance on their technical / professional development at AECOM.

Job Description

We are seeking to find an Associate, Sustainability within the Building Engineering Department' sustainability team. Reporting to an Associate Director, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide technical support in commercial bid submissions and lead projects independently and deliver technical solutions to design and client team. The successful candidate should be familiar with Singapore's sustainability regulations and codes.

• Possess knowledge of environmental design, and green building rating tools [LEED, Green Mark, WELL, Smart Score, True Waste, LEAF, ILFI, etc.].
• Conversant with environmental simulations such as energy modelling, daylight analysis, CFD, life cycle carbon analysis.
• Support the allocation and management of project resources and understand current project resource requirements.
• Assist to provide technical support in commercial bid submissions.
• Technical knowledge of project work coupled with an understanding of project management tools.
• Conduct regular team meetings creating a platform for team members to raise issues and share knowledge.
• Lead projects independently and deliver technical solutions to design and client team.
• Lead pro-active coordination with internal and external disciplines to achieve a high-quality consistent set of presentation and design documents.
• Proactively check and coordinate project documents (including but not limited to multi-disciplinary drawings, design reports, technical specifications, etc.).
• Conversant with project’s contractual requirements and deliver high quality deliverables in established schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a field related to building engineering, sustainability, architecture.
• Minimum 9 years of experience within sustainability consulting or building engineering.
• Possess minimum three green building accreditations, such as Green Mark AP [required], LEED AP [required], WELL AP [required], TRUE Advisor [desired], WiredScore AP [desired].
• Successful track record of delivering local and international projects in the built environment.
• Effectively multitask and work collaboratively with internal and external disciplines.
• Experience in energy modelling, daylight analysis, CFD, parametric modelling, life cycle carbon analysis, and ESG.
• Software skills in AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, IES VE, Adobe, One-Click LCA, Ansys, Star-CCM, OpenFOAM

Responsibilities

• Provide project planning schedule, monitor, review and update project progress throughout the project execution, to ensure timely completion.
• Manage the Review of Detail Design by EPC Contractors.
• Visit construction sites and attend client/contractor progress meetings in order to have working knowledge of current project status and issues
• Monitor the entire spectrum of works right from Engineering to Procurement to Construction until Commissioning completion.
• To resolve issues and provide technical solutions when the need arises.

Meet the requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
• Certified by Project Management Institute as Project Management Professional.
• Completed Ministry of Manpower Singapore Construction Safety Course for Project Managers (CSCPM).
• Minimum job experience as project manager in successfully completed 2 transmission cable or infrastructure projects of similar contract value within 8 years. Candidates with more than 10 years of experience may be considered for Senior Project Manager position
• Minimum 4 years of experience in transmission cable or major infrastructure projects
• Familiar with all statutory regulations and requirements pertaining to transmission cable projects.
• Familiar with work scope, work sequence, method statement of transmission cable works.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Independent and able to interface with Client/ Government Agencies / Contractors
• Knowledge in Programming & Scheduling, Risk Management, Environment Health and Safety Plan and ISO documentation
• Candidates with working experience in other countries in SE Asia would also be considered

Job Description

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Lead the key client portfolio development and implementation of a technical market strategy for expansion of Environmental Geosciences and Remediation business in Indonesia and Singapore
• Lead a team of geosciences remediation consultants of 5-10 people, if required and grow the business in the SEA market
• Lead and directly participate in the capture planning for all major/strategic opportunities in Indonesia/ Singapore with emphasis on technical approach, business management, and staffing working with regional resources and regional leadership.
• Serve as Project Manager on major/strategic projects.
• Improve quality of work for key deliverables including; feasibility studies, conceptual designs, remedial designs, and remedial actions
• Participate in key activities such as development of environmental practice area with leads in each major country/region; monthly management meetings; technical knowledge transfer sessions and coordination of technical conference participation.

Requirements:

• Bachelors/ Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Water Resources Planning
• Minimum 12 years of years’ experience, ideally working in a large commercially-driven engineering, construction, consultancy or other professional services organization
• Working relationship with major multinational companies and delivering Environmental impact assessments and other permitting works for such companies
• Thorough knowledge of environmental impact assessment methods, environmental monitoring procedures and protocols, environmental audit protocols, environmental site assessment methods and protocols
• Knowledge of local environmental codes, laws and regulations
