Job Responsibilities:

The appropriate level of expertise is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard:

• We are looking for an enthusiastic individual keen to work collaboratively and iteratively within an established acoustics team. The successful candidate would also work across wider multi-disciplinary design teams and be expected to establish strong working relationships with other internal teams.
• The individual would have excellent report writing, personal organisation and communication skills.
• They would be taught acoustics calculations and modelling using software such as SoundPLAN, CATT, Insul, Odeon, and MOTIV.
• They would also be trained to undertake a range of site measurements and testing, data analysis, predictions and write reports on a range of projects. Experience of displaying and manipulating datasets in GIS software would also be beneficial.
• Hence no experience is required.

Requirements:

• A degree in Physics, Maths or Engineering, Acoustics, Architecture or similar.
• Understanding acoustics, noise and vibration is an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Demonstrated practical experience in instrumentation and acoustic modelling software is highly regarded.
• Experience in Google Sketchup, GIS, AutoCAD, Revit or Microstation software is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Lead projects on audiovisual and work closely with Project Manager and Project Director.
• Support PAVA design for acoustics projects in Singapore, Southeast Asia and Asia.
• Be responsible for writing/ mentoring and reviewing reports and associated technical output with multinational clients and government agencies;
• Participate in key activities associated with the development of the audiovisual design disciplines with the respective leads in each major country/region; attend weekly team meetings and participate in technical knowledge transfer sessions and technical conferences.
• Perform site visit/inspection and supervise subcontractors as required for the projects handled.
• Support other projects in Singapore and other regions as and when required.
• Support team manager in project and proposal management as well as administrative duties
• Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures of the company.
• Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/her immediate superior.
• Shall perform other duties that his/her immediate superior may assign from time to time.

Requirements:

• Local diploma or degree in any related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in audiovisual consultancy. Less qualified applicants will be considered for junior positions.
• Take initiative at workplace.
• Good working knowledge of integrated audiovisual and video conferencing solutions.
• Good working knowledge of PAVA modelling in ODEON, EASE or CATT will be highly regarded.
• Working knowledge of CAD, GIS, Revit or BIM.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
• Highly proficient in English for technical writing and presentation.
• Experience in acoustics design or stage lighting will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

• Technical support working closely with senior staff and Project Managers
• Technical working knowledge of flora and botany, vegetation and habitat classifications, and ecosystem dynamics within Singapore and/or SE Asia.
• Contributing to environmental projects and business growth in Singapore, SE Asia, and Asia (depending project opportunities) on technical aspects of one or more of the following: Biodiversity Impact Assessment (BIA), Environmental Maintenance and Management Plans (EMMP), Environmental Baseline Studies (EBS) including biodiversity baselining or monitoring etc. Ability to work on a combination of these services will be highly regarded.
• Participate/ experienced in biodiversity surveys with a key emphasis on flora, ID species on site, experienced biodiversity impact assessments, sustainability reporting TNFD etc.
• Have a keen interest and knowledge base in Nature Positive approaches, habitat restoration and habitat offsetting.
• Contributing to project presentations and client meetings with senior staff and Project Managers.
• Business development support for current and prospective clients.
• Comply with quality management on all work products.
• Task budgeting and scheduling control.
• Coordinating with stakeholders, sub-consultants and other disciplines, as necessary.
• Business travels may be required.

• Master’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Nature Based Solutions or other related disciplines (e.g., civil engineering and environmental engineering) OR Bachelor’s degree plus equivalent years of experience in the environmental field.
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in ecological consultancy, environmental engineering, environmental planning or environmental management sector. Qualified applicants will be considered for senior positions.
• Ability to use modeling software/s will be highly regarded.
• Candidates with graphic skills such as CAD or GIS, will be highly regarded.
• Candidates with proven project management ability will be highly regarded.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
