Position Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Strong leadership skills to inspire a culture of vigilance and accountability regarding safeguarding matters. Previous leadership experience in leading staff and students in safeguarding, child protection and wellbeing programs is beneficial.
- Curriculum Experience: Candidates should have experience working with a variety of school curricula
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management and organisational expertise are required for effective performance.
- Analytical and Decision-Making Skills Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in record-keeping and administrative practices. The capability to analyse complex safeguarding cases, make informed decisions, and implement appropriate actions. Sound judgment and the ability to assess risks and prioritise actions to ensure the welfare of students and staff.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents and all levels of the organisation. The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy.
- Team Building: Proficiency in building and maintaining effective teams, along with the ability to resolve conflicts constructively, is highly valued
Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a minimum four-year recognized teaching qualification, which includes either a Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Diploma or a Bachelor of Education.
- Significant experience working in a safeguarding or child protection role, preferably within an educational setting.
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding policies, and best practices
- Further qualifications or training in fields related to safeguarding or child protection would be an advantage
