As part of Barry Callebaut's team, you will drive the agenda of Operational Excellence organization to improve Company's culture and performance, which leads to long-term sustainable growth and our Go4Zero strategy. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end cocoa activities for Asia Pacific and oversee the full operational and logistics budget, CAPEX management, and all related business projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• working in close collaboration with the APAC Supply Chain and Commercial leaders , in order to pursue our strategic and commercial goals, as seamlessly and effectively as possible.
• working in close collaboration with the peers in supporting functions: HR, Finance, R&D, QA, Procurement, in order to build an environment of mutual collaboration and achieve business goals.
• overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating the sites' performance.
• directing the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other assets and resources .
• analyzing and approving operational investments that best meet the organization's business needs.
• leading, guiding, evaluating, and developing a strong team with operational responsibilities to ensure that the organization achieves its business objectives and a sustainable pipeline of succession.

To be successful, the pre-requisites for this role include:

• Bachelor / Master Degree in Operations, Engineering or similar
• At least 10+ years of experience in an Operations Management position within the food industry or related industries
• Experience in Project Management and Leadership
• In-depth knowledge of the food industry
• Knowledgeable in SAP, Google Suite and MS Office Suite
• Proficient in written and spoken English. Proficiency in another Asian language will be advantageous.

This role will be the owner of the regional pricing process, leveraging on tools to support business decisions through management of data quality and insightful analysis. This role will also serve as a valuable channel to bridge strategies from Pricing, Finance, Regional and Global Cocoa teams so as to maximize the value that the cocoa business brings in for the company.

Ideally, this role shall continuously engage key stakeholders to drive improvements in business processes, encourage openness to change and facilitate risk management. This role needs to also drive the transition process from off system to system based quoting and contracting with the full-fledged pricing logic set up.

Key responsibilities:

• ensure availability of a functioning and updated pricing model for offer generation, price discussions and compliance tracking. Jointly define the appropriate pricing strategy and support performance assessment of strategy through reporting and analysis
• consolidate and improve understanding of cost elements to drive transparency and data quality in pricing approach
• communicate requirements to develop and enhance price level calculations in the system, essential for reporting and compliance tracking
• provide indicative prices of specific cocoa products for each delivery period, together with updates on cocoa terminal market and other related information
• govern and support key quote and contract management activities together with Combined Ratio and Commercial Team

Pre-requisites:

• Degree in any discipline
• 2-3 years of relevant working experience (i.e. sales, marketing, analytics, pricing, commodity risk management, controlling or finance)
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office. Experience in Google applications is an advantage
• Have a good understanding of manufacturing structure and supply chain model
• Sensitive to details and equip with analytical skills to manipulate large database for meaningful analysis
