About the role

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Solutions Manager for Asia Pacific, this role will manage a diversified series of projects, assist application development teams in adopting new technology, and plan ongoing maintenance and enhancements for existing systems and frameworks. This is a 1-year contract position.

What you will be doing

• Apply and adapt Project Management best practices: project scoping, planning strategies, milestones and schedules definition, reporting of project status, issue tracking, change control.

• Create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into information supporting decision making: gather, analyze, and document reporting functional and technical requirements.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to make sure data definitions and technical logic specifications align with business requirements.

• Oversee test plan, test cases and test scripts.

• Perform data extractions via SQL and present findings to stakeholders.

• Analyze production problems, realize / recommend data correction.

• Support remote BI users on training and best practices on BI tools, where to find data.

• Maintain user guides and release notes up to date.

The successful candidate

Essential

• At least 3 years experience in Business Intelligence project management (Waterfall and Agile)

• Working experience with any of the following BI tools (ordered by preference): Tableau, Power BI, IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Planning Analytics, Business Object, Qlikview

• Good knowledge of relational and multidimensional data models (star schemas, cubes)

• Strong skills with SQL (preferably T-SQL)

• Basic knowledge of financial reporting (P&L, BS, CF)

• Good written and spoken English

• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand business needs in order to translate them into report/ dashboard specifications and deliverable solutions

• Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage own workload

• Proactive, able to suggest improvements of processes, systems, code... and prioritize them

Desirable

• Strong customer focused, team-oriented communication skills with emphasis on building lasting, trusted partnerships through written and verbal communications

• Experience with / knowledge of at least one of the functional areas: finance management, customer relationships and sales, freight forwarding or logistics operations

• Experience with / knowledge of finance (non-banking), transportation or logistics domains

• Experience with / understanding of OLAP solutions and MDX (TM1 especially)

• Willing to work with and learn new technologies

About the role

Reporting to the client's supply chain manager, this role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strategise, manage and coordinate the growth of their logistics function.

What you will be doing

• Assess and advise supply chain managers on all existing and potential opportunities with regards to freight forwarding in the region
• Act as central POC for all matters logistics and freight forwarding, in all related regions:
• Utilise Bollore's global network to address all existing ad hoc needs for freight forwarding/ logistical activites that arise across client's APAC project footprint
• Verify client's supplier's logistical solutions and advise/promote alternatives where plausible
• Work with client's projects to expedite supplier shipments, in line with contractual delivery dates
• Through co-ordination with Bollore's BI team, guarantee the flow of logistics intelligence into client platforms for monthly report on global logistics landscape, verify and challenge the data where necessary
• Assist supply chain managers with necessary information required to develop the logistics category strategy
• Promote and drive logistics sustainability initiatives in collaboration with client's supply chain and sustainability teams
• Familiarise oneself with client's existing logistics and supply chain risk platforms, contributing with data and know-how where necessary
• Prepare (multi-regional) monthly structured billing for any and all logistical services provided by Bollore to client, to be approved by a supply chain manager (and regional contracts teams if necessary)
• Any other logsitics-related tasks deemed relevative by supply chain managers
