Job Responsibilities

• Able to teach Primary / Secondary level Chinese with passion in the classroom.
• Plan and deliver well structured Chinese language lessons to primary and secondary level.
• Foster a positive and inclusion learning environment that promotes cultural understanding.
• Utilise various teaching methods and resources to cater to individual learning style.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Able to communicate well by addressing students and parents needs and concerns.
• Able to work evening and weekend

Requirements

• An experienced and certified Chinese teacher capable of teaching Singapore primary and secondary levels.
• A creative and engaging instructor with the ability to make language learning fun and interactive.
• A strong communicator who can connect with students of different age groups effectively.
• A team player with the desire to contribute to the overall development of our language department.
• Proficiency speaking & writing Chinese (Must) & English (preferred)
• Bachelor ‘s Degree, majoring in Chinese language or related field preferred
• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents are preferred.
• Familiar with Singapore MOE Chinese standards and methods, able to develop teaching plans and material based on students different needs and levels.
• Excellent teaching skills in explain vividly and visually
• Knowledge of Chinese phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and Chinese characters
• Good organization, coordination, managing small class size and ability to inspire student passion in learning Chinese.

Centre operation

1. Support the implementation of the centre's education philosophy.

2. Provide high-level administrative support.

3. Manage the centre's calendar and support to handle commuication with parents.

4. Handle centre tour , make enrollment plan and implement it.

Curriculum

1. Guide teachers' implement of classroom teaching, and have class in person if necessary.

2. Train new teachers to have class.

3. Develop programme schedules that meet students' needs and support smooth transition.

4. Evaluate and ensure the use of teaching materials meet the teaching goals.

5. Mantain the online course system and help new students join the system.

Teamwork

1. Work closely and effectively with every staff to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments, following up appropriately.

2. Demonstrate a willingness to work constructively, flexibly and proactively.

3. Handle sensitive issues with diplomacy and professionalism.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Create educational materials to further demonstrate subject matter to be covered in tutoring sessions. Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers and research.

2. Recognize different learning styles and student preferences and help them understand key concepts. Creating lesson plans based on the student’s academic needs and interests, and updating these plans as needed. Explaining difficult concepts and terms to students in a way that they can understand easily.

3. Study strategies, note-taking skills and approaches to answering test questions, demonstrate academic best practices including research and writing tactics. Facilitates problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills.

4. Provide students positive and constructive feedback and conduct practice tests to track progress, help set goals for exam preparation, diagnose student needs through active listening techniques and questioning strategies and help students improve from there.
