Our client is a leading European Ship Owner with aggressive expansion plan in their group headquarter in Singapore is looking for a Tanker Operator.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Read all messages pertaining to individual vessels and take action as required
• Monitor vessels movements and update in house system Operations Module
• Archive all your vessel E-Mails on a regular basis using VoyageFile
• Responsible for executing voyage related activities starting from Pre–Fixture Planning stage to the Post–Fixture stage involving Claims and Demurrage submission.

SPOT VOYAGES

Pre – Fixture:

• Liaise with Chartering Officer in answering to Charterer’s Queries
• Send vessel’s Q88, trading certificates and fill up questionnaires as required by Charterer’s and send it to them.
• Ask vessel for stowage plan and send it to charterer’s after getting the same approved from the Operations Superintendent.

Vessel Fixed and Subjects Lifted:

• Get the Fixture Recap from Chartering Officer and study the same along with the C/P and Rider Clauses
• Forward the Fixture Recap to the vessel
• Liaise with brokers to get the voyage orders and forward the same to Master after going through it and making sure that the same is in line with the Recap.
• Follow up with Master for the final stowage plan and forward the same to Charterer’s after reviewing the same.
• Appoint Agents as required via DA outsourcing company.
• Obtain the authorization from the Fleet GM/his designate for making the necessary arrangements to remit to the agent's account
• Execute the voyage while always ensuring that legal aspects and liabilities are complied with.
• Provide proceeding instructions to Master as to what speed / consumption the vessel should comply with.

On Voyage Completion – Post Fixture:

• Ensure all Cargo Documents have been received from the Agent and Master
• Calculate Demurrage and Submit to Post Fixtures as required
• Reimbursement of Claims from Charterer’s if any
• Prepare Voyage Result of vessel and submit to Operations Manager

TIME CHARTER VOYAGES

Pre Time Charter:

• Liaise with Commercial for all pre-fixture queries and provide all Certificates, Questionnaires as required
• Send C/P to Master
• Ensure Delivery Notices are served on time

During Time Charter:

• Obtain necessary LOI(s) when required
• Negotiate and appoint Agents for husbandry matters
• Coordinate communication between parties involved in Charter
• Ensure Time Charter hire is billed promptly
• Also ensure Bunker ROB’s and other items as per C/P are billed

Prior Completion of Time Charter:

• Ensure delivery notices are served in time

OTHER DUTIES:

• Update TIME-Bar for all your vessels
• Appoint Owner’s Agent as and when required
• Liaise with Insurance Department as and when a vessel enters War Risk Area keeping them informed if the same in on Owners A/C or Charterer’s A/C
• Liaise with Security regarding embarkation and disembarkation of Security Guards
• Arrange Weather Routing as and when required and after confirmation of Operations Superintendent.
• Appoint Pilot, Local Superintendent, Bunker Surveyor as and when required
• Obtain LOI(s) from Charterer’s
• Initiate Freight Billing (To be done after departure from Load Port and as soon as discharge port is known

Our client is a leading ship owner looking to recruit an Oil/Chemical tanker operator in their growing offices in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cargo transportation as per contact with efficient turnaround of vessel

• Efficient stowage plan to optimize tank utilization, compliance with regulations and procedures for vessel’s safe operation, compliance with statutory regulations, and coordination with chartering

• Prepare monthly, yearly, and any other periodical result when required

• Coordinate voyage planning

• Prepare and forward voyage instructions to the vessel

• Appoint an agent and coordinate to ensure a smooth turnaround

• Arrange and Instruct cargo release

• Ensure sufficient bunker on board

• Input operational data in C/B

• Monitor vessel performance and feedback to superiors

• Maintain close relationships with Charterers and Brokers

• Coordinate with the vessel master/manager in the event of a marine incident

• Report and coordinate claims but not limited to cargo shortage/contamination

• Conduct vessel visit to improve rapport with officer/crew and feedback observation on board

Requirements

· Minimum Diploma in Maritime courses, but the degree is preferred

·3+ years experience in shipping, ship management, or tanker industry
