• Conduct regular toolbox audits for all technicians
• Provide recommendations to the Supervisor for replacement tooling as required
• Maintain adequate stocks of workshop consumables and provide recommendations to the Supervisor or nominee prior to purchasing
• Maintain the company tool movement register and ensure tooling is made available to all on and as needed basis
• Maintain measure and test equipment records for both company and employee tools.
• Records include, measure, testing and equipment register indicating equipment register record cards
• Maintain and submission of records of cooling tower, trade waste collections relating to waste, oil, fuel and sludge to the relevant Agencies
• Coordinate and monitor managed garment overall cleaning system with supplier
• Maintain tooling checks through QA audits and recording
• Responsible for the supply and control of all company Personal Protection Equipment
• Manage maintenance and regulatory inspection of company service vehicles

We are looking for a talented Service Technician - Mechanical to join our team based in Tuas, Singapore. This is an Onsite role reporting to the Service operation Manager. This role will also require travelling within Singapore. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this role provides support for all Cummins products, primarily in Automotive, Industrial and Marine applications, in a combination of workshop and field work. You will respond to engine breakdowns and provide technical analysis of failure, warranty support and troubleshooting engineering issues. Previous experience in a similar Service role, and knowledge of High-Speed Diesel engines, is essential.

Responsibilities:

· Diagnoses and completes repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

· Product Repair and Maintenance -Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembles and assembles engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers cost of ownership; performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.

· Engine Systems Interactions -Interprets and analyses the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems (exhaust, heating, cooling, fuel systems, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, sensors, etc.) by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

· Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

· Locally valid driving permit

· This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

· Basic level field service work experience

. Good to have work background either mechanical or electrical or both.

· At least 3 years relevant work experience preferred.

· Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

· Customer service experience
