The Senior Director, Service Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational functions of CX & Service Operations across APAC and EU regions. This includes strategic ownership of Workforce Management (WFM), Agent Enablement (training, quality, and content), and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Management. This leader will ensure excellence in service delivery through strategic planning, workforce optimization, vendor management, and continuous process improvement.

This role demands strong strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership capabilities to align cross-functional teams and drive impactful results in a complex, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

Work Force Management (WFM)

• Develop and oversee the WFM strategy to ensure optimal staffing and resource allocation across APAC and EU regions.
• Lead business planning and forecasting processes to align workforce needs with business objectives.
• Establish and monitor staffing models, ensuring scalability and flexibility to meet demand fluctuations.

Agent Enablement

• Oversee training, quality assurance, and content development for customer operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in training programs to ensure agents are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
• Establish quality standards and feedback mechanisms to enhance agent performance and consistency.
• Manage the development and maintenance of internal knowledge bases and support content.

BPO Management

• Develop and execute a comprehensive vendor and BPO management strategy to support business objectives.
• Identify, onboard, and evaluate BPO partners to ensure alignment with company standards and goals.
• Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement

• Set and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics for WFM, agent enablement, and BPOs.
• Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead efforts to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs across all service delivery functions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., CX & Service Ops, COEs, Finance, Product, etc) to ensure alignment of service delivery activities with broader business needs.
• Work closely with data teams to leverage insights for workforce planning, training improvements, and vendor performance optimization.

Leadership and Team Development

• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead by example, demonstrating operational excellence and a customer-first mindset.

We are seeking a highly dynamic FP&A leader to oversee and lead finance partnering activities for foodpanda's APAC markets and all businesses, including new ventures. This role will involve leading and managing a team of five senior FP&A professionals who support the respective APAC markets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead finance partnering activities for APAC markets and all businesses including new businesses. Capacity to adapt to the challenges of operating in volatile economies and managing the impacts of inflation and currency devaluations, ensuring real values is derived from right strategies.
• Focusing on markets which are developing/under developed but has huge potential for growth (PK,BD,PH and CLM) to support and contribute on the strategy piece of operational finance.
• Partner with regional business heads and country managers in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop financial plans based on an in-depth understanding of business needs, with the objective of achieving growth and profitability targets.
• Oversee financial and information analysis, measure the financial impact from a broad range of variables and key indicators.
• Compile and present financial data to evaluate business performance, and provide informed recommendations.
• Driving the Business to meet target KPIs by providing proactive insights to highlight opportunities for improvement to support decision making (e.g. pricing)
• Leading change management projects including new country expansion, new vertical launches or new product rollouts
• Lead ad-hoc projects, and continually automate/streamline processes to improve business efficiency in the region keeping in view the complexities around various countries of operation.
• To groom existing team and further build to be the next hyper-functional finance team

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive business growth and market expansion in designated countries

• Ownership of P&L of new business; drive top line revenues while optimizing bottom line expenses

• Work closely with the Product team to understand user journey and develop a product vision

• Drive the Commercial and Ops team to ensure key priorities are met

• Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution

• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress and high achievement across multiple KPIs metrics

• Liaise closely with regional teams and with other markets to understand best practices and tailor it to local needs
