The Role

A multinational organisation specialising in Medical Technology is seeking for a Legal Director to lead the APAC region including South-East Asia, China, India, New Zealand.

The Opportunity

This MedTech organisation specialises in developing innovative technologies which play a significant role in therapy advancements and in addressing diseases in Hematology, Oncology, Neurology, Autoimmune Diseases and Regenerative Medicine.

The Legal Director will lead the legal function and oversee all legal and compliance matters for the organisation. This role involves providing strategic legal advice to senior management, ensuring compliance with global regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the company’s interests.

The Legal Director will support the business's growth and operations by advising on various legal issues, including corporate governance, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, licensing, contracts, litigation and Mergers & Aquisitions.

This position requires a proactive and strategic legal professional with experience in the Medical Device and healthcare sector.

What we look for:

• Law degree (LLB or JD) from a recognised institution, with a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (Masters degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10-15 years of legal experience, with a significant portion in the Medical Device, healthcare, or life sciences industry (Medical Device & MedTech sectors are highly preferred)
• Experience in a multinational organisation or law firm handling complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Strong knowledge of medical device regulations, requirements, anti-corruption laws, and other relevant healthcare laws.
• Experience with M&A, joint ventures, or other strategic transactions.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage a legal team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent negotiation, contract drafting & review, communication skills and ability to draft legal terminology in Chinese language
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive, business-oriented approach to legal issues.

Regulatory Affairs Manager, APAC (MedTech)

A listed Medical Device manufacturer specialising in life changing products is seeking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to manage the regulatory requirements across APAC throughout the product development and product launch phases.

The Opportunity

As the Regulatory Affairs Manager you will have the responsibility to oversee the regulatory requirements of medical products for the APAC region. You will be accountable for ensuring that the business remains up to date on regulatory requirements to ensure continuous approval in the region.

What we look for:

• Demonstrate experience working in Regulatory Affairs in the healthcare space including medical devices, pharmaceuticals etc.
• Gained exposure within a regulatory role minimum 5+ years’ experience and above in medical devices (preferred)
• Familiar and has an understanding of regulations and standards relating to medical products at a regional level - APAC
• Demonstrate experience in product registrations, renewals, regulatory documentation, requirements and regulatory processes
• Track and monitor regulatory submissions working closely with commercial teams’ requirements

• Involvement in the regulatory requirements of clinical studies for new products authorship and submissions, development registration dossiers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to train and present regulatory updates to staff and management
• Experience in drafting standard operating procedures and work instructions
