Full job description

• Assist in identifying unsafe conditions and work practices in the worksite by regularly inspecting machinery, equipment, and overall worksite.
• Recommend measures to improve workplace safety and to implement approved measures.
• Responsible for the prevention or reduction of health and environmental risk
• Assist in investigating accidents within the worksite and recommend/implement preventive/corrective solutions.
• Implementation and monitoring of the WSH System at work sites and delivery of various EHS programs and initiatives
• Prepare and review Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure
• Conduct safety toolbox meetings, briefings, training, and inspections.
• Update and keep all safety documentation.
• Ensure that supervisors, workers, and subcontractors follow safe work procedures and that all safety compliances are on site.
• Assist the Safety Manager on the preparation of the ISO audit document.
• Prepare and submit a safety report to WSH Manager.
• Drive continuous improvement of EHS operations and processes
• Perform daily workplace inspections and rectify unsafe practices/conditions
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior from time to time.

Job Requirement

• Possess a certificate in Safety Coordinator’s Course or Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
• Possess a Risk Management level 2
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Construction
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
• Able to work on short notice
• Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills

• Responsible to ensure cranes are certified by Professional Engineer (P.E) upon erection and thereafter follow up inspection by P.E. as per MOM requirements
• To ensure P.E. certificate must be submitted accordingly.
• To keep a set of required servicing and maintenance tools for the cranes.
• To conduct monthly inspection of cranes and issue inspection checklist upon completion and submit copies of inspection checklist.
• To ensure cranes are fully serviced and maintained with regular greasing based on user service manual.
• To ensure crane components are stored in safe manner.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/"O" Level, Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position, practical experience in installing and dismantling cranes.
• Familiar with the manufacturer’s instructions (KOBELCO, LIEBHERR & FUWA Crane).
• They must have attended the brand-specific training conducted or approved by the crane manufacturer.
• They must have passed the generic course on tower crane installation, alteration and dismantling conducted by BCAA.
• Have completed the following training courses in an institution acceptable to the Commissioner: Lifting Supervisor Safety Course, Rigger Course, Signalmen Course.
• Be under the employment of an approved crane contractor.
• Preferably Non-Executives specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
