RESPONSIBILITIES

The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Class Engagement:

• Plan, prepare and carry out an effective routine-based intervention programme for the class to meet every child's IEP
• Work towards functional outcomes of the child through child engagement, embedding of naturalistic strategies, differentiation of prompts, behavioural intervention techniques
• Carry out recommended therapeutic strategies as part of the transdisciplinary team
• Prepare age appropriate teaching resources based on children's interest
• Maintain a respectful learning environment for the children with the practice of positive discipline by treating all children with dignity and respect and allow for individual differences
• Be familiar with and adhere to the programme policies, health and safety regulations and emergency procedures and be ready to implement these if necessary

Working in Teams:

• Supervise and be responsible for Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides under their respective grouping
• Mentor Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides in the areas of classroom management, basic teaching strategies, and behavioral intervention techniques
• Meeting with Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides regularly for allocation of roles in the classroom, brainstorming, planning and preparation of activities and resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to: Principal

Teaching and Team Actions

• Work with individual students or groups of students, in co-operation with Class Teacher
• Support the learning needs of students in the class, under the direction of the Class Teacher
• Whilst teaching, act consistently with the Class Teacher, and our school's Teaching and Learning Policy and curriculum documentation
• Accompany students to specialist lessons for Art, Music, PE and Library and co-operatively support Specialist Teachers of those subjects
• During Language lessons, handover students to the respective Language Teachers at the start of the lessons and collect them at the end of the lessons. Support the Class Teacher during this period
• Assume responsibility for the class if/when the Class Teacher is unavailable for short periods

Pastoral Caring for Students

• Greet students daily and help settle them
• Perform visual health screening and keep record of temperature and health status of students daily
• Offer reason and counsel for individual students or small groups, under direction of Class Teacher
• Communicate with parents at direction of Class Teacher, usually by reading/writing in students' Communication books
• With Class Teacher and students, foster habits of care, balance and open-mindedness

Resource Management

• Prepare materials for students' learning activities
• Maintain, sort, tidy and clean equipment at least once a week. Keep record of cleaning
• Photocopy, scan, record and cross-reference materials to optimize resource use & recording
• Promote safe, clean and tidy class work environments always

Environments' Optimising and Expressing Students' Outcomes

• Collect, account for, mount and display students' work at direction of Class Teacher
• Assist students and Class Teacher fostering/eliciting students' expressions according to their needs and capabilities
• Share role with Class Teacher for regular class news publishing and cataloguing reflections

Assessment and Observation

• Make observations and contribute to record-keeping as requested by Class Teacher.
• Handle administrative tasks to support Class Teacher during assessment and reporting periods, especially summative times at ends of semesters

Other Duties and Professional Development

• During school term, perform after school duty and waiting room duty according to duty roster and/or as negotiated with the Principal
• Attend relevant staff training sessions and staff meetings

Reporting to: Principal

Teaching and Team Actions

• Work with individual students or groups of students, in co-operation with Class Teacher
• Support the learning needs of students in the class, under the direction of the Class Teacher
• Whilst teaching, act consistently with the Class Teacher, and our schools Teaching and Learning Policy and curriculum documentation
• Accompany students to specialist lessons for Art, Music, PE and Library and co-operatively support Specialist Teachers of those subjects
• During Language lessons, handover students to the respective Language Teachers at the start of the lessons and collect them at the end of the lessons. Support the Class Teacher during this period

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Board of Directors (BOD), the Principal will lead the academic and non- academic team in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities to meet the academic, operational and financial targets of the school.

Strategic Leadership of the School

• Formulating the overall strategic direction of the school and ensure that it is aligned with the Groups strategic goals and targets.
• Devise the long term and short term development plan of the school to support the achievement of its overall direction and objectives.
• Present the school development plan to the Board for its approval.
• Execute and monitor the schools long term and short term development plan to ensure that it is on track.
• Evaluate the schools development needs and revise the plan as required.

Overall Management of the School

• Oversee the daily operations of the school to ensure that it is run smoothly, efficiently and effectively.
• Establish and review the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the school and ensure that it is aligned to the Groups SOP.
• Ensure the school environment is well maintained and well-resourced to provide the best learning environment for the students and working environment for the school team.
• Maximise the effective utilisation of school facilities and resources to ensure effective learning for students.

Curriculum Management

• Lead the school in the management of its curriculum design in collaboration with the Pedagogy team at Headquarters.
• Responsible for the quality, balance and relevance of the academic, pastoral and after-school activities in the curriculum received by the students within the framework of the curriculum adopted by the school.
• Ensure alignment of the schools curriculum with the other schools within the EtonHouse Group in order to provide a smooth transition for students progressing within the EtonHouse Group.
• Ensure that teaching staff effectively implement the curriculum framework and maintain high quality pedagogy.
• Coach and support the teaching team to monitor, assess, document and maintain the evaluation and assessment of students learning and development.
• Ensure that relevant and authentic evaluation and assessment of childrens learning and development is maintained and documented, with appropriate updates and reports to parents where required.
• Ensure the schools operations and programme development aligns with the IB Standards and Practices to ensure ongoing accreditation with the International Baccalaureate as an IB World School.
• Ensure the confidential storage and maintenance of all students records.
• Ensure that teaching materials and resources are adequate to support a high quality learning environment for young children.
• Responsible for the quality of teaching delivered by the teaching staff, monitor and review teaching and learning standards.
• Assist in teaching on an ad hoc basis, where required.

Staff Management

• Lead, inspire and motivate the teaching and non-teaching team to build a positive, collaborative and high energy school environment.
• Coach and mentor the teaching and non-teaching team to enable them to realise their full potential in their performance.
• Actively participate in classroom observation and give timely feedback and coaching to the teaching team to improve the teaching standards.
• Set performance and development goals for teaching and non-teaching team and evaluate performance against goals set.
• Plan professional development for the school team through assessment of the training needs of the team.
• Work closely with the HR Business Partner to plan the projection of staffing requirements to ensure that the school is adequately staffed.
• Lead the selection and recruitment of teaching staff and non-teaching staff.
• Mentor and on board new staff members to ensure that they assimilate smoothly into the schools environment.
• Manage staff scheduling which includes relief covers during staffs absences and resources for new program or class.

Safe Guarding

• Lead the school team in all child safeguarding matters to promote the safety and wellbeing of all students.
• Ensure that all school members are aware of the importance of the safeguarding of students.
• Develop and review policies and procedures relating to safeguarding of students and ensure the implementation and adherence to the policies.

Student Management

• Actively participate in the admission process of new students into the school.
• Ensure that student records are well-maintained with all required documents prior to admission.
• Responsible for the allocation of students to classes with consideration to be given to age, friendship groupings, previous class placement, learning and development considerations, and any other relevant factors.
• Responsible for ensuring that the required child-staff ratios in all classes are met.

Parent Management

• Build and maintain a professional and positive relationship with the parent community.
• Ensure timely, effective, and regular communication with the parent community so that they are kept up to date on the progress of their children.
• Ensure that the teaching and non-teaching team maintain a professional and positive relationship with parents and communicates with them regularly.

Marketing and Enrolment

• Develop strategies to market and maintain the schools student enrolment to maximise the utilisation of the school capacity and resources.
• Collaborate with the marketing team in executing marketing strategies to achieve target student population.
• Lead the schools parent liaison team in building strong relationships with existing and prospective parents.
• Participate and lead marketing events and programs to promote the brand image of the school and the Group.
• Interact with prospective parents, when possible, to explain the curriculum and the ethos of the school e.g. conduct tours of the school as required.

Financial Management

• Responsible for the financial performance of the school to achieve financial targets and KPIs.
• Accountable for the financial management of the school and adherence to approved financial budget.
• Responsible for setting the schools budget on annual basis and reviewing it regularly to ensure that the school has adequate resource to run effectively.
• Responsible to ensure that all school fees are collected on a timely basis.
• Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure that accurate management report is submitted to the BOD on a monthly basis.
• Manage cost control in all aspects of school operations.

Communication with Head Office

• Provide regular updates on the school's performance to the COO and BOD.
• Support the COO and BOD in any other responsibilities assigned.

What are we looking for

• A Masters or Bachelors degree in Education.
• 5 years of leadership experience, 8 to 10 years of teaching experience in working with preschool.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Programme Officer contributes actively to the programme needs of MINDS Future Care Planning (FCP) Services under the umbrella of Community-Based Support Services (CSS).  CSS is the dynamic and nimble service delivery arm in MINDS that responds to emerging needs of PWIDs and Caregivers in the community. The programme executive will work in synergy with various direct community services to enhance integration and community living of caregivers and PWIDs in the community.

 He/she will be involved in the planning, coordinating and executing of programme events and activities that suit the needs of families of persons with intellectual and developmental needs. He/she will contribute actively to FCP Services and work with team to ensure the efficient running of FCP programmes which will include working with caregivers on planning for the future, life coaching and life planning. He/she will also assist the team in developing and enhancing MINDS online future planning website (FutureReady by MINDS).

 A proactive thinker, resourceful and responsible team player, he/she works closely with team to raise awareness of future care planning matters, plan programmes and ensure smooth delivery of programme.  He/she will also connect and coordinate with other organisations to execute collaborative, inclusive and client-centric programmes, to manage communications and feedback from stakeholders, and to conduct outreach activities to other organisations and the community.

Information/ intake assessment and life plan development

• To attend to queries and referrals on FCP programme
• To triage and refer client to suitable programmes and services
• To arrange for assessment with clients and caregivers to explore and provide guidance on future planning
• To support the social worker in drawing up individual life plans for client and work with life coaches and caregivers to set goals and plans to achieve the set goals.

Build Stakeholder Relationship

The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Class Engagement:

• Plan, prepare and carry out an effective routine-based intervention programme for the class to meet every childs IEP
• Work towards functional outcomes of the child through child engagement, embedding of naturalistic strategies, differentiation of prompts, behavioural intervention techniques
• Carry out recommended therapeutic strategies as part of the transdisciplinary team
• Prepare age appropriate teaching resources based on childrens interest
• Maintain a respectful learning environment for the children with the practice of positive discipline by treating all children with dignity and respect and allow for individual differences
• Be familiar with and adhere to the programme policies, health and safety regulations and emergency procedures and be ready to implement these if necessary

Working in Teams:

• Supervise and be responsible for Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides under their respective grouping
