[What you will be working on]

Key duties and responsibilities include:

a. Drive PIER71™ (Port Innovation Ecosystem Reimagined @ Block 71) ecosystem building programme and Smart Port Challenge.

b. Support Living Lab and Regulatory Sandbox initiatives.

c. Relationship and account management. Engage industry players and technology developers to curate challenges/opportunities, and technology roadmaps.

d. Grow startup, VC and corporates partnerships and networks with leading global maritime clusters and organisations.

e. Lead SWOT analysis, value chain studies, technology scan and provide recommendations on strategies and action plans.

f. Organise design thinking workshops, outreach events and communication channels.

g. Work with relevant agencies and organisations on joint innovation initiatives and outreach events.

h. Evaluate technical proposals seeking grants and other forms of support.

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant training and industry experience in business administration, science and engineering, innovation and technology, sustainability, maritime, shipping and port, and/or intellectual property.

• He/she should have experience working with/in technology start-ups, venture capitals or research institutions.

• Be an effective communicator and presenter, competent in both spoken and written English, and able to deal with ambiguity and complexity.

• Possess strong people skills, design thinking skill, and a passion for technology and innovation, meeting people and selling ideas.

[What you will be working on]

• Develop and implement C&B policies and programs, that are aligned with employer branding and talent strategies.

• Conduct periodic benchmarking analysis and reviews to support the design of C&B policies and programs and ensure they remain market competitive and effective in attracting, motivating and retaining employees.

• Plan and implement the annual performance bonus, increment and other C&B exercises, including formulation of proposals for Senior Leadership and Senior Personnel Board’s approval, simulation of bonus and increment quantum, preparation of communication materials to key stakeholders and working with respective stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payouts.

• Manage the job evaluation framework and exercises.

• Partner key internal stakeholders, such as HR Business Partner, HRIS and Services, to effectively implement C&B programs and policies and ensure operational processes are in alignment with the policies.

[What we are looking for]

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in compensation and/or benefits.

• Strong analytical thinking and knowledge in driving C&B analysis and reviews.

• Good knowledge of HR policies, processes and best practices, statutory legislations and HR systems, preferably Workday

• Ability to work within tight timelines and engage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be a 2-year contract appointment in the first instance.

[What you will be working on]

The key responsibilities are:

1. Lead industry capability and technology cluster development in one or more areas, such as artificial intelligence/data, modelling and simulation, quantum tech, supply chain & trade tech, and APIs. 

2. Develop industry development programmes such as those relating to digital bunkering, maritime data hub and electronic bill of lading.

3. Evaluate technical proposals seeking co-funding and other form of support.

4. Grow technology networks and partnership with leading global maritime clusters. Relationship and account management.

5. Engage industry players and technology developers to curate challenges, opportunities, and technology roadmaps/plans.

6. Lead SWOT analysis, value chain studies, technology scan and provide recommendations on strategies and action plans.

7. Organise design thinking workshops, outreach events/webinars and communication channels.

8. Work with other agencies and organisations on joint initiatives and outreach events.

• Possess relevant training and industry experience in information & communication technology, science and engineering, maritime studies, or port/trade/supply chain management.

• Be an effective communicator and presenter, competent in both spoken and written English, and able to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
