About the Team

The Information Technology Department (‘ITD’) provides a full range of technology services to all departments including the Front Office, Operations, Finance and Risk departments. The teams are also involved in Global projects and work collaboratively with other entities within Mizuho Group.

Summary

The developer will work towards implementing new and enhancing existing applications in the Back Office and Corporate space, including the middleware framework. This requires involvement in the full project life cycle from the initial project technical proposal through to analysis, design, implementation and subsequent production rollout and support.

The candidate will work closely with other IT teams as well as Back Office, Risk and Finance business departments to achieve department and company-wide goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project implementation with main focus on Risk Management
• Participate in Back Office systems projects and enhancements. The work will involve the full life cycle of the SDLC including gathering user requirements, producing detailed specs, designing, coding, testing, deployment and post implementation support.

IT Operation team is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and managing day to day system operations, technology and infrastructure of the company. The team comprised of IT professionals from different functional and technical background. The goal is to provide high quality IT support service to end users in Pan Asia and maintain the availability of mission critical business application.

Summary

They are responsible for ensuring business continuity for the applications so that the users are able to carry out their day-to day tasks within their business function. About the Team

The Mizuho Securities Trading team, based in Singapore and Hong Kong, services our global customer base in USD, AUD, CNH and HKD government, rates and credit products. The local currency desk focuses on AUD, SGD, HKD and other APAC currencies (excluding JPY).

Summary

The role within Credit Trading is three-fold:

1. To provide liquidity to Mizuho’s customer base in our chosen product space – whilst effectively managing the risk on the Bank’s balance sheet. Liquidity is generated by working closely with the Sales force and Customers – presenting them with market colour, pricing information and trade ideas in a consistent and interesting format. We work towards growing that pool of liquidity by pitching and on boarding new customers across all jurisdictions.
2. To work with the DCM and Syndicate teams to create an end to end franchise capability through idea generation, information flow and warehousing of select risk.
3. To continuously develop and enhance tools for the pricing, publishing and relative value analysis of our product.

• M&A Deal Execution

1. As a project manager and/or a team member of a deal you will execute M&A transactions including researching a sector, examining valuations of a company, supervising due diligence, structuring a deal, documentation, making advices on negotiation tactics, attending various meetings or negotiations to support clients and any other execution-related activity associated with an M&A deal.
2. Ensure successful execution of mandates, including working with the team and alongside other departments within MHFG including MHSC, MHBK and external advisors (legal advisors, FDD TDD teams, etc).

• M&A Deal Origination

1. Origination of transaction opportunities for Mizuho’s clients through own business network, partner/no partner investment banks, boutique firms and advisory firms or by directly contacting to companies after analysing their background.
2. Work with internal teams and MHFG including MHSC and MHBK for the production of presentation materials and prepare transaction documents for the successful procurement of the mandate.

Skills and Qualifications
