The Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services (OCAS) oversees the management of estate leases and commercial services (such as leasing of spaces for F&B, amenities & lifestyle services, and meetings/events), and auxiliary services (such as car parks and shuttle bus services) for NTU’s main campus, Novena campus and NTU@One-North campus.

This role entails leading the business sales initiatives for NTU@one-north. Responsibilities encompass strategic planning, market analysis, and promotional endeavors geared towards optimising revenue generation and enhancing brand visibility.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Service Excellence

Understand clients’ requirements and assist them from initial inquiry to post-sale service delivery.

• Proposing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth for venue bookings.
• Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Providing tailored support and guidance to clients throughout the process, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as operations and administration to ensure seamless execution of events and enhance overall customers’ experience.

Performance Monitoring

Track and evaluate performance data for informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and accountability.

• Monitoring and analysing performance metrics, to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
• Ensuring budget adherence and monitoring performance metrics related to revenue and expenses compared to the budget.
• Collaborating with relevant parties to develop action plans for addressing performance gaps or identifying opportunities for improvement.

Brand Positioning and Customer Experience

Explore and implement focused plans to attract, engage, and retain customers.

• Proposing and implementing cost effective multi-channel platforms to promote venue services and events.
• Identifying opportunities for improving customer engagement and satisfaction based on data analysis.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to execute marketing initiatives effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication and proactively seeking feedback from clients to understand their needs and preferences better.

Requirements:

• Possess a degree in any discipline, preferably related to events/hospitality management.
• Strong understanding of budgeting principles and financial management practices relevant to venue operations, including revenue forecasting, expense management, and profitability analysis.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel and MICE sales, with demonstrated success in revenue generation and client relationship building, along with a strong understanding of industry trends (which would be an added advantage).
• Proven track records in leading a team.
• Strong analytics, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to engage and build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders/customers.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a customer-focus attitude, coupled with the ability to respond positively to challenging clients and day-to-day operation needs.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Finance and Membership Manager. The Finance and Membership Manager will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the Club while also overseeing membership initiatives and engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promote and sell memberships to prospective members which include corporates and individuals by:

• Conceptualising and implementing membership sales related events/initiatives, which include seeking budget approval, execution and post-event follow-up
• Developing and maintaining new partnerships and sourcing for sponsorships for Club’s events/initiatives
• Interact with members and guests to build rapport and garner feedback for improvement of future events/initiatives

2. Manage accounts, budgeting and financial reporting that include but not limited to:

• Ensuring timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
• Managing accounting processes and tasks in daily operations (eg. AP & AR process, GL, account and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, credit control, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.)
• Handling payroll of staff and interns including overtime & commission calculation into processing of employees' salary
• Coordinating and liaising with external parties including external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities
• Ensuring compliance with all finance filing requirements (eg. GST, CPF, Annual Returns), audits, procedures and forms

3. Manage assigned facilities and associated services to achieve customer satisfaction (eg. Relationship Manager duties)

4. Review processes and systems for enhancement which include analysis, controls, design and implementation

5. Any other duties as may be assigned

Requirements

• Degree in accountancy or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in MS Office and good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment independently
• Team player with strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Able to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
