The Research Assistant will participate in seagrass research, with a specific focus on examining seagrass reproduction. A large component of the work is to be conducted in the field. The Research Assistant's responsibilities will extend to administrative and management tasks associated with research projects, as well as pursuing a PhD degree under the guidance of the PI.

The Role
In this position, you will be working on software engineering for implementing source code to develop a stand-alone mobile app-based platform for the collection, analysis of
data related to managing heart conditions. You will work closely with software engineers, data analysts, project managers and industry partners to produce software design and architectures for prototyping and validating platforms towards managingwellness for end users.

• Collaborate with the design team, other software engineers and product managers to design, build, enhance, and test new features
• Write clean and maintainable code that is properly tested and reviewed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, and Computer Engineering

• Knowledge of at least one of the server-side languages (Java, .NET, Python, Docker, Flask)

The Centre for Ageing Research and Education (CARE) is an academic research centre in Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. CARE is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher to join the team as a Research Fellow, for conducting quantitative research and its publication and dissemination. A Senior Research Fellow position will be offered to candidates who demonstrate substantial relevant work experience and advanced skills in the field.

• Conceptualize and conduct quantitative analyses of individual-level survey data
• Draft and submit at least 4 papers per year in high-impact scientific journals, as lead author or co-author
• Write and edit policy/research briefs (at least 1 per year)
• Present and disseminate findings at international and national conferences, stakeholder meetings, and in public media outlets
• Develop and conduct workshops in quantitative research methods (at least 1 per year)
