Main job tasks / responsibilities
Overall
- Support Novo Holdings Strategy Development and ensure a coherent overarching strategy
- Communicate Novo Holdings Strategy across teams to ensure full alignment of investment area strategies to house level strategies
- Run Strategy updates with individual investment areas independently ensuring alignment to house strategy
- Manage individual strategic initiatives/projects with input/execution from broad house stakeholder
- Identifying and implementing process improvement potential across investment teams through cross-standardisation and/or process development
Investment strategy
- Building a deeper macro understanding across the Asian geography, which feeds into decisions on where to invest (sector, geography)
- Ground-up understanding on new markets, and validating the right approach to enter markets
- Identifying Key risk considerations, that need to be mitigated strategically
- Building a solid understanding of the regulatory/policy trends in the region, to inform investment decision making and strategy
- Provide input to Partner Group and Asia head of P&O to translate strategy to needed capabilities in team
Asia Investments Value Creation Plan (VCP) approach:
- Drive discussions / workshops on how to improve VCP and codify new approach
- Support on ad hoc portfolio management engagements
- Design a structure for sourcing relevant analyses/input on/from portfolio companies
Support digital maturation
- Ensure easy access to macro/regulatory/risk data&insights to feed into investment processes and asset management
- Gathering use-cases from deal teams, which could be relevant for the digital team to support and liase with the central digital team
Support operational efficiency / maturation
- Facilitate improved intra Novo Holdings connectivity
- Document process in the Asia team and drive continuous improvements of processes
- Project Management of larger projects
- Support on presentations and facilitation of sessions at large events
Requirements
- Consultancy toolbox (Excel, PowerPoint) fully mastered and able to handle complex financial and market analytics
- Multiple engagements as part of the consultancy in developing Business Unit and Corporate Strategies
- Experience in driving in change processes (strategy execution)
- Able to drive and manage workstreams and projects independently with minimal guidance
- Able to facilitate workshops with larger groups of senior stakeholders independent
- Strong financial acumen
- Insights in Life Science technology/industry
- Experience in managing junior resources
- Danish and Scandinavian language (in writing and oral) essential in order to translate strategy and frameworks between headquarter and local entities
- Knowledge of Danish and Scandinavian investment landscape for sparring and collaboration between headquarter, local entities and portfolio companies
