Ensure Compliance With Singapore And HQ Regulators’ AML/CFT Requirements

• Carry out AML/CFT transaction monitoring and investigate alerts in a timely manner;
• Resolve or escalate the alerts, where appropriate
• Ensure proper documentation on the handling of alerts
• File suspicious transaction reports, if necessary, to the relevant authorities within the stipulated timeline

AML Transaction Monitoring

• To review and investigate system-generated or any alerts, to determine the next course of action
• Conduct further investigations, if necessary, by engaging relevant stakeholders to obtain the required information to ensure proper closure
• To close the alerts promptly and maintain proper documentation on the rationale of the closure
• To assist team lead in carrying out any necessary reporting to management as well as other stakeholders
• To file STRs to the relevant authorities and attend to any follow-up requests from the relevant authorities to ensure proper handling and closure
• To maintain the register of STRs filed/not filed

Other function(s)

• To liaise with the relevant stakeholders in handling Production Orders issued by the authorities
• Work with other AML members to maintain the AML/CFT transaction monitoring system and conduct testing when required
• Perform any task or participate in projects as required by the Team Lead or Head of Department

Work closely, and support other teams within the Compliance space

Primary Objective:

• Supervise and guide Clerical Staff in the daily operations end to end
• Ensuring efficient and error free processing of trade transactions in line with international standards
• Ensuring compliance with the Bank’s credit policy, to equip with in-depth knowledge of the trade product and services to meet customers’ needs
• Monitor and review the outstanding bills ensuring no back log and long outstanding bill items
• Ensure checks and searches relating to AML and CFT obtained prior to processing of new trade bills received

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

• Ensure smooth daily operational flow and error free processing of trade transactions in line with international standards
• Follow-up on outstanding trade transactions
• Provide guidance to officers and staff under his/her supervision
• Adherence and compliance with the Bank’s credit policy and guideline

Business Performance

• Contribute to the trade business utilization to achieve trade fee, fund and asset growth
• Motivate and guide the team with relevant skills and product knowledge to improve operational skills in trade to enable them to excel in their job.

Operations and Process Flow

• Regular monitoring of outstanding and overdue bills in accordance with the guideline and policy
• Supervise staff under his/her purview to provide efficient, error free processing meeting and compliant to internal and external regulations, policies and procedures
• Ensure checks conducted prior to processing of transactions

Primary Objectives;

• To carry out AML/CFT transaction monitoring and investigate alerts in a timely manner and ensuring proper documentation
• To investigate all transaction alerts generated by Transaction Monitoring System within the agreed timeline.
• To ensure due diligence and background check on suspicious transactions.
• To ensure efficient identification and monitoring of suspicious activities and transactions.
